I would also like to share that you can get schools in radius of less than 8km using the following

url:

http://www.schoolinrange.com/schoolcoords/<lat>/<lng>/&...;

replace the <lat> <lng> and <radius> fields with latitude longitude of your house and radius you want to search in.

example: http://www.schoolinrange.com/schoolcoords/28.673634/77.129452/6

you can find latitude and longitude by right clicking the location of your home on google maps and select what's here option.
