For Poonam Rathore, the nightmare has just begun. Even though the Education Department’s announcement on October 28 that all schools across the Capital will have to follow a fixed schedule for nursery admissions starting from December 15 did bring relief, she soon found a few schools have already started registrations.
In clear violation of the Directorate of Education (DoE) order, many schools have set their own timetable for nursery admissions.
“When the Directorate gave the order, I relaxed a bit, but then my friends told me a few schools have started online registrations,” said Rathore. “I did not want to miss out.”
Bhatnagar International Foundation School, Vasant Kunj, starting its first nursery session, is one of them. The school website says the registration process is on. Parents are being asked to fill up information forms. They claim the school has started interaction with parents. Devender Khemani, who visited the school for his son’s admission, said, “I did fill up the information form, which was like a registration form. The school said that they would call me.”
Khemani claimed the school asked him to pay Rs 55,000 to ‘reserve’ the seat. “They told me that if I paid, my son’s seat would be confirmed.” He would be considered a “fresh case” after December 15, if he failed to make the payment, the school reportedly told him.

Rathore said, “I want my daughter to get admitted to a good school, but don’t know whether I should apply to schools now. We don’t even know whether or not the fees we deposit will be refunded later.”
After the DoE order on October 28, many schools like Convent of Jesus and Mary and St Columba’s postponed their admissions.
Several schools — New Era Junior School, Rajouri Garden, Presidium School, Kids Way at Pusa Road, Vivek Summit at East Patel Nagar — have already started the admission process or are about to start soon. Parents are left wondering whom to follow — the DoE or the schoolsOther schools, mostly around Dwarka, that have not stopped nursery admissions are — Nirmal Bharatiya School (started on November 1 after the DoE order was announced), MBS International School (September) and Shanti Gyan Niketan.
Director Education, P Krishnamurthy, said, “Nobody has filed a complaint. Somebody has to complain for us to take action. We’ve issued notices to schools that had started the admission process (three branches of Bal Bharati Public School that Newsline had reported).
He added that no new guidelines have been new issued to the schools. “Last year’s guidelines are being followed this year as well.”

I think this web forum is a great media to be united against system . DOE is just a puppet in the hands of ministry.
Why they have to wait for complaint to sue schools for not following the guidelines.
schools have become commercial centre for reaping profits just like any other business.
what we as a parent should do.....?
We pledge not to pay any donation to get seat reserved.
Report any incident for injustice among each other sothat we should nt entertain that school -

Let us see how many letters go- 3-4 out of 10,000(approx) ? i saw last year also .In last how many of us have guts to show our faces and get clicked pic in front page of papers before admissions ?
i have been seeing/hearing only webmaster voice in media for the parents

This is shame, I dont know why someone needs to complaint as everyone in the world know how things are oing. I dont know why DOE cant held inspections and punish the guilty schools.

my 2 cents
I think way mr sumit vohra handles the whole issue is really creditable without writing long essays here ,i think he beleives in actions rather than words that we all the members have seen in last one year.
He is known in whole education industry ,i dont think (with due respect to all the parents)that anyone on the forum can single handedly stop the interview of school like amity(amiown)
we need to follow it dilligently
now coming to point
1 if we all targat single school like Mr Gulati Said (all of us sending complains against single school only lets say 4k-5k letters against single school)
can they prove 5000 letters fake ?\
i want mr gulatis advice on this
2 I will like Mr Deepak to know how many will come in dharna in open with him , let him make alist
start a thread I am fully cnvinced that you will do what ever you have written but how many will flloow yu just check
My humle request
We feel very secur in presence of Mr vohra and also knw that all media is with him ,god forbid if any school
want to take revenge ,they cannot do till we are with Mr vohra .so dont ask him to rest or relax
(i just kept my heart ut never wanted to hurt anyone ,i consider mr vohra a fighter for parents) -

Even i have contacted St Marks Janakpuri, they said that forms are already closed and they have stopped registrations for nursery class.
i wanted to fill a form for my daughter there.

i and my colleague have posted 10 inland letters by registered post to the concerned ministeries and departments.
a parent from my kid's play school to whom i had introduced the idea has faxed 5 faxes.
and beleive me this effort was more than the worth of the best of presents i give to my kid on children day. It gives me such a high to do my bit of responcibilty.
so a dharna or letter campaign, whatever one is comfortable with but we all must do some positive corrective efforts. i realized this after reading 7/11 of sumit ji, and posts of rahul ji and deepak ji -
