Shifting to Delhi - Need help on admission for my son

Hi All,

I will be shifting to Delhi in the coming months. I would be staying in Dwarka. I need specific help with my son's admission this year. Can some one answer my questions:

1. My son's DOB is 09/09/2009. is he eligible for admissions this year?

2. As i am shifting, so will be taking a rented accommodation in dwarka from Jan. I heard that the schools demand a minimum 6 month old proof of residence at the time of admissions. is this true?

3. There are almost 33 schools in Dwarka, can someone help me to shortlist few based on all round education quality

For transfer cases Nirmal Bhartia, Presidium, Indraprastha give 15 points and Modern Convent, BGS, Paramount, RD Rajpal, Dwarka International, Sachdeva and GD Goenka give 10 points.

Thanks Lathaaji. I am expanding my list based on your suggestion. I have one more query around this transfer points. As i will be leaving my current job to join a new organization in Delhi, what documentry proof do i need to gain points under this category.

@Amitesh, You need to get resignation letter from old / Joinig letter letter from new company with designation and address

Do we need to submit the documents at the time of filling the form? Can i get the affidavits made in Kolkata and submit?

At the time of submission of forms only photo copies or attested photo copies of documents are asked apart from original affidavit for first child or only child.

What your opinion about indraprast international in dwarka? Any guidance will be helpful

Indraprastha has good qualified teachers and best infrastructure with ICT campus. It follows Montessori method of teaching. Admission for nursery was not fair.
