Sibal says let admission process be `random', leaves (Admissionsnursery.com )parents guessing- Admissionsnursery.com parents views on ILLOGICAL RANDOM method- in today INDIAN EXPRESS DATED 28 NOV 2010

We r actually paying the price of having semi educated ministers in the cabinet. They r little worried for the parents community & more for other schedules. The RTE has actually clauses which r impractical for both parents as well as schools. Schools r told to have 25% reservations for EWS category. The burden of EWS would directly or indirectly be borne by general cat. parents.
hi,
I am a parent of three year old child, first waiting the age criteria, decided by MR Kipil Sibal, second they are saying the lottery system,,, and even forms are not out yet..what will happen. might my child will get a change.
That was my comment in the blog "RTE admission rules out: No profiling kids " :)
"What does “rationale and just” basis mean?
Does it mean that schools can categorize according to their convenience, i.e., Based on religion for minority schools, management seats, alumni seats, sibling seats, etc. Then, 25% seats go for EWS.
Dunno if any seat will be left for general public..."
Hi, It seems that congress likes gambling and wants all necessities of life to be out of reach of common man, first they put all food articles in commodity market, corruption makes property rates high, now they have decided to play with the future of the children . what do you mean by lottery system. So every thing is at the will and fancies of individual school. No one can question the school if a capable child fails to secure admission in good school. Sibal seems to be going on the foot steps of Arjun Singh. Its really a sad moment for India, corruption, gambling is making india ... incredible india.
The directions from the ministry are quite ambiguous.
On one side they claim that there should be no weightage for parental education yet on the other side there is no clear instruction on banning alumni points which are also a form of prejudice against children of migrant parents.
The ministry should come up with clear guidelines on how "random" can the lottery system be.. just saying that it should be "just" criteria leaves more open ground then ever before for schools to work on in an autocratic manner and definitely more donations from eager parents and may be more pay backs from school management lobbyists.........
