single mother eligibility.....if the divorce case is in process...

mam , my reelative who is a lady is living in seperation from her husband , and she has a child of age 3+ , there is a case for divorce is in process since last two years , so please advise me that wheather she is eligible for the points of single mother or not ,,, and if she is please expalin how she can avail that
