Supreme Court Judgement to Restrict Reservation to 50% Violated, as only preferred candidates getting admission

In Delhi Nursery Admission because of the Recent Guidelines, we are Violating the Supreme Court Judgement of restricting the Reservation to 50%.

Although direct Reservation is only of 35%, but in General Category, the preference / weights has been given to Sibling, Alumni, Transfer cases, which is Indirect Reservation .

In all schools, # of Preferred cases (Sibling, Alumni, Transfer cases) will be more than the # of Seats in general Category, thus all seats will get filled by them.

E.g. In DPS Vasant Vihar, Out of Total Seats of 216, General Category seats are 140.

Among all 3112 Applicants, following are the # of cases for the preferred class

Transfer - 192.
Alumni - 106.
Sibling - 79.

There are 352 Unique cases of Sibling, alumni and Transfer. Thus all seats will get filled by these preference cases only. Thus actually No Seats is left for True General Category, who were to be selected through Lottery. This has actually happened in DPS VV and Mothers International.

This will be the case of all schools.

Supreme Court Judgement restricting reservation applies to Educational Institutions also.

Although this is Nursery admission only, but the reservation directly (as in case of EWS) or Indirectly (Preference/Weights) shall be restricted to 50% only.

this is very technical and only an expert can validate this. People like Prashant Bhushan are the best people who have technical knowledge on this. Is there a way we can get him to review this?

I dont know wht will happen..if not this year guideline should be change and there should be no UPPER AGE LIMIT set by schools...thn only i can apply next yr

Yes absolutely right! If they are not able to devise a good guideline then they must compensate for the injustice done to kids. They must be given opportunity next year! And authorities ..don't sleep all the year long to wake up only in december for new guideline.. just do a technical survey/study/research to decide the best guideline from today. You have a practical session going on no other month will be better than this to do the research. Also side by side improve govt primary schools to a level where people will not feel disgusted while admitting their kid there..

"Let us make mistake Let us learn" must be proved by delhi govt..

Very well said priya..but we can easily watch manish sisodia n apne cm sahab..dealing with sum other issues...sakhshi tld that Mr vohra has given an article published in TOI..shayad publish kal ho..as its big..all hopes are on MR VOHRA AND AN team..as they only knows what we r going through
