How does this impact 70 pointers in the waiting list?
Thanks for posting this. what is the likely process here on ? what about those who have been shortlisted on 70 points through a draw? Are we capping sibling / alumni too? this action will create more mess than being a relief. the reality does not change that- every kid cannot get admission and a lot of 70 pointers still wont. these issues need bigger reforms and not mere baby steps. and lastly how do we expect people with transfer points and 70 pointers already selected not going the court now. too early as this will become messy.
Suneet we want points for first child ..Asking too much might not get us these points also /
We dont want to speculate , wait for notification .
First child points are required but how would the schools now capture that information since none of the forms had question pertaining to that
better wait for notification only suspense will be to whom these 05 points to be given
i oppose these points to first child as in my case first child in minority school who are doing whatever they want and very limited sibiling seats. i am not sure whether second child will get seat in sibiling quota or not
this is my opinion only and every body will have different one
so wait for notification whatever comes we have to accept which is good for all
it is not necesarry to make points total to 100.. it may be left with total of 95 also..
but how does it help? why you even seeking this? what has happened is fine. just leave it there. we all including everyone is responsible for the mess and parents whether with admissions or without are just getting into more mess and we just pushing it hard. we all as a system should have anticipated and taken all this up earlier. solving one problem for one is leading to problem for another.
