Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

The simple arithmetic is that the number of schools required is much less than the number of students.

With average schools receiving more than 3500 applications, we learn is that the govt has done the least in the field of education. Even basic education to the children is left at the mercy of lottery. No matter whatever point system you create, there will be children who will be left behind to find merely any school for admission to get the basic education. After 67 years of independence, we are yet to become a country with equal basic rights to all.

Well said Sachin. No matter how good and efficient point system be, majority will go seat less. Complete failure of the govt even in the most basic necessity "education".
well said, but lets not forget that there are around 17,64,112 net migrations as per the 2001 census and 60,14,458 in 2001 according to STATISTICAL ABSTRACT OF DELHI 2012 (that was the old data according to newer data approx 5 lakh per year come to delhi).
increase in housing only will not solve this problem, those families also bring their children with them and they need to be educated. schools should be increased in equal proportion to be able to accommodate them all. simple solution is starting of second shift in all the schools for which LG has already given permission last year, now when will schools start a second shift is the matter of concern-maybe 2-3 yrs will be taken up for setting up a proper second shift school. if i am not wrong only one school i.e. indian school has started the second shift with the name of foundation school till now. lets hope that school admission picture will completely change within 2-3 yrs!!!

kindly see the link for circular granting permission for second shifts!

Dr Shadab, I agree that the move is required and a good move. But, the question is, is this still sufficient to meet the present needs and near future needs?
