Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

The present nursery admission system have a large flaw which will come just the day after the nursery admission form is over.

A parent filling the form for a minimum of 10 school is very common. And I expect the headlines of news paper after jan 15 saying at least 15 times forms than available seats have been submitted in the schools this year.

For example if there are 25 schools with 1000 seats (average 40 general seats) in a locality and 1000 candidates for the race and I believe there is an average form submission of 10 per candidate the total no. of form submitted will be 10000. It means 10000 forms for 1000 seats which is a whopping 10 times whereas actually the no. of candidates are equal to the seats available.

This will naturally increase our anxiety level while benefiting schools to put pressure on parents.

@Amit : What u say I concur that, I can't think of Govt. or Govt. School providing good or quality education.

So what is other option : other option is to go to a good private school who is providing quality education. I read great article written by committee of more than 10 IAS officers and they said private institutions provide quality education because of there freedom and personal interest of management, more you bound them the quality gonna worsen.

And this is happening more boundation to school are reducing the quality of education(value for money) they use to provide. You know what EWS or FREESHIP is doing to your or my pocket. 75% of the parents are bearing the cost of additional 25% EWS or FREESHIP student costs. Means apart from paying income taxes , sales taxes , services taxes to govt. you are also paying for EWS or FREESHIP students studying in same school.

In simpler words, the running cost of a private school comes from 75% of the paid seat. And 25% of freeship enjoys same priviledge without paying any money or on the money of those 75% students. Because these school gonna use only those funds that comes from fees as they don't have any other source of income.

NURSERY ADMISSIONS - REQUEST FOR FIXING DATES OF DISPLAYING LISTS AND FEES PAYMENT

The stressful Nursery Admission process is going on these days and the parents have been running pillar to post in applying for admission of their ward in various schools. True, there is an On-line option for some schools but hard-copy of filled in form, photocopies of supporting documents, photos and Registration/ Application Fee is to be deposited by visiting the schools only. Despite clear orders/ guidelines of the DOE (Directorate of Education), some schools have been charging more than Rs 25 in name of Processing/ application fee e.g. Darbari Lal DAV, Pitampura; DAV, Pushpanjli, Pitampura; BAL BHARATI, Pitampura; BAL BHARATI, Rohini; MAXFORT, Pitampura etc. have been charging Rs 100 or more than that.

After the last date of applying for (15/01/2013) is over, the parents will face the second uphill task of checking the lists of selected candidates which will be displayed by different schools at different dates. More than that, another herculean task will be to decide whether to deposit Fees in a school which is not on their priority list but which comes out with First list earlier than the other schools. And if afterwards, their ward gets selected in another better school, they will have to deposit fees in that school also.

The DOE can ease this stress of the parents by fixing last date for displaying the list of selected candidates together with fixing the last date for depositing fees which should be after atleast ten days of declaration of the list. If it is done so, the parents will be able to decide in which they should deposit the fees and it will also ease their burden to a large extent. Likewise, dates for second and subsequent lists together with corresponding last dates for depositing fees should be fixed for all the schools.

Very Genuine point.. I think Mr. Vohra will get this implement next time.

Well a genuine solution all dates have to be same for all the schools whether its submission date, first list, second list.... or admission. That would allow parents to breathe and schools to take less advantage of the situation and not allow schools to struck a gold mine
