Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Dear Parents,

My daughter made it to The Shri Ram School (TSRS) shortlist. She also made it The Heritage School (IB). We are keen for her to take the IB/IGCSE curricula and therefore need to decide between TSRS and Heritage. TSRS follows ICSE curriculum till grade 5 and option to take IGCSE+IB from grade 6 onwards. Heritage has IB in the beginning and option to opt for CBSE in grades 6,9 and 11, if we want. TSRS of course is generally considered to be the better school among the two, by most parents.

I would be grateful for your views on:

1. For development of child's life skills in primary years, which curriculum is better- ICSE or IB? Or does it really matter in primary classes?

2. Does ICSE inculcate the habit of rote learning even in primary classes ( till class 5)?

3. How easy/difficult is for an average child to transition from ICSE to IGCSE in grade 6?

4. How easy/difficult is for an average child to transition from IB to CBSE in grade 6/9/11?

5. Any advantage of Heritage over TSRS, apart from the fact that the former follows more acceptable CBSE board?

Look forward to your views. This could help lot of parents like me.

First of of Heartiest Congratulations to be selected In Shri Ram Aravali. ( Only parent who has confirmed on forum for this year till now).

1 IB is most child friendly for holistic development of child.

2  Yes, ICSE inculcate the habit of rote learning even in primary classes.

3  Not issues for child.

4 Quite tough as IB does have any prescribed textbooks and children struggle as CBSE has different curriculum.

5.Better Campus, but i have not seen in last 10 years anyone leaving TSRS over Heritage.

Heritage IB is only two years old.

For parents  first hand inputs you can post your query in Gurgaon thread.

https://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/nursery-admissions-i...

Pls share Fee structure of TSRS whenever available to you, as many queries but very few parents get selected and TSRS does not post fee details in public domain.

Sure, will do Sakshi. Happy to be of help to parents in this wonderful forum

Thanks for your Gracious Remarks :)

No worries Sakshi. Just a query- if IB/IGCSE is the preferred curriculum for us, would you personally recommend TSRS ( icse+ ib later) or Pathways( ib throughout) or Heritage ( ib throughout)?
