Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Open Letter to Mr. Vohra:

Mr. Vohra & AN Team,

Thank you so much for highlighting various issues around the nursery admission guidelines.

Specific to Transfer Cases, i would like to let you know that we (about a dozen parents) met with the Director DOE today, and in the LG office yesterday.

At both places, our Point of View on the Transfer Cases being completely unjustified and discriminatory has been fully understood, and appreciated. The authorities have seen 100% merit in our plea on that point and have assured that they will take it up for active reconsideration.

Our humble request to you now is that in every media interaction you have on the topic, please please support us on FULL REMOVAL of Transfer Points (Reason being that TC cases are applying with location points and there is NO reason why they should have those 5 points) and a Re-Draw of All eligible candidates (with new point totals).

We absolutely want to avoid any digression of the discussion towards "Proper Verification Guidelines", or "NCR/ Non-NCR" topics...our plea has a very strong case and there is a very very good chance of it being accepted if we all stakeholders keep the pressure on.

As a suggestion we have also requested the department to shift those 5 points to First Child, OR to restrict the transfer cases to 5% quota (instead of 5 Points) incase they see merit in that as measure for this year.

Finally, we have also made a point that the amount of effort (for a Re-draw only, as no new application process is required for the above) and time that will be required to make the above requested changes, and to execute on them in the schools will be a matter of very few days, but the benefit of providing this fair opportunity to all parents will be huge!

Your help through the media will be very highly appreciated.

Regards,
Rahul

Pls change your title of the topic. .... grossly misleading. ...

Thanks Rahul. Now see some hope

Great!!!
Great effort Mr. Saraf,
I hope good sense prevails on the DOE officials and these changes are made ASAP.
Let this also be put before the H'able courts on the twentyfifth. Instead of this let these 5 points be given to the first borns who are sufferers of this point system.
Also some action should be taken on some top schools who are keepin mum about the draw of lots.
I think these schools are hopeful of getting some kind of stay on the 25th .

Yes, I agree that these transfer points must go and given to first born child. But it must be done before 28 Feb 2014. God bless all of you. Thanks.

Totally agree with You Rahul

Great! I hope DOE will do something for us before it's too late.

Great, hope this gets actioned as then only there is some chance for our kids. I totally agree that the draw of lots should happen again, it is a matter of our childerns future.

Great efforts by Mr. Rahual Saraf ji, We hope that very soon (before 28 Feb 2014) we will hear very positive and favourable news from LG and DOE. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. Thanks.

Great Efforts but hope it implements and soon we shall get positive results.

Can you share the DOE's and LG's reaction to your presentations?

It might give us a fair idea about what to expect. As its already too late, they may finally try to wrap up this session asap with may be practically irrelevant/minor changes and put the major modifications for the forthcoming 2015-16 session.

Mr Sumit, If the transfer points are abolished, it would be a great help to parents residing in Delhi since many many years. I request you to please provide complete media coverage so that the issue is highlighted and we get some respite for our little ones...!

Yes Aijaz its due to TOI /HT/HIndu/NBT/Hindustan/NDTV/Aajtak/Dainik Jagran media coverage only on Transfer points the DOE is reconsidering on transfer issue.

We are trying our best.
