It is not only transferable in all schools. Some school requires "Transfer Case" like in Birla Vidya Nikiten.

Transfer Case points -

From Overseas or from other states of India  to delhi within last one year (school spcific) and school specific if they consider only Govt or Pvt organisation too.

Transferable Case - If you job is transferable one you get points.

Why is this so Lathaa, what is the logic behind awarding points for transfer. I mean I have been working in Delhi only but can easily prove that I can get transferred to another part of India if given a choice. These 35 points are a huge disadvantage to parents based in Delhi.

If you can proof gain 35 points. Actually Transfer points were introduced to accomodate kids whose parents got transfered within one year prior to admission schedule. But schools take their own autonomy in deciding their own criteria. BGS International Dwarka has removed transferable points from its criteria after strong objection by Mr.Vohra last year.

Lathaaji is right. "Transfer case" was introduced by govt. for people who are recently (usually within last one year) transfered from out of delhi, so that they don't miss out on admission. But since it has not been clearly elaborated by DoE, different school treat it differently.

Most of the schools correctly adopt it as transfer case and they also specify the date, "recently transfer on and after dd-mm-yy".

But few schools treat it as "transferable job" - which means if ur job is transferable you get points. So almost everyone gets qualified for this, since now-a-days everybody's job is transferable (and proof of that could be appointment letter or just a letter from the company). These kind of schools are definitely at fault since they tweak the very basis of this crteria.
