why schools want attested copies of certificates and residence proof when they do not know how to verify those classic example is of Chinmaya ,vasant vihar where we applied for our daughter and mentioned the name of the institute where we reside,near JNU and vasant kung B-4 interestingly two other girls from the same campus were called for lottery and got admission mine was  not called for lottery and was given 5 points less than those girls simply becoz their parents  wrote 

JNU with the name of the institute which is near our institute and we did not do this...they didnt bother to check details before calling for lottery
