As we all parents wish to get the best possible education for our children, not of all us can get our children to top schools. As the D-day is coming nearer, I wish to know opinion of all the parents and moderators on the below points:
1) What if your child doesn't get selected to top schools or schools where you desired? Will you compromise and get your child admitted to some 'mediocre' schools?
2) What if your child doesn't get selected to ANY Schools you have applied? What should be the strategy adopted in this case?
Appreciate your responses...
I am also worried about the situation because I don't think that I got any of the school in which I have applied.
First of all I hope you are not pinning all your hopes on 1 or 2 schools.
Categorize the Schools' in order of your preferential Ranking/ Parents reviews/ Distance/ Fees etc.
And start updating that list as Schools' has started with the shortlisting process and Draw process. Update where have been shortlisted/Wait listed. Just streamline everything.
If heaven forbid, you ward is not selected for your top choice, look for best available option.
These days moreorless all Schools' are equal and follow the same holistic development for students. And, in long run it all depends on the parents and the kind of enviorment they provide for children's growth.
And these big names/ brands are no different from other schools, just a marketing gimmick. Don't lose hope yet, hang in tight and I am sure your ward will get the best of everything.
Coming onto your 2nd query, if at all you land up in this kind of situation, I suggest you NOT to drop a year for your child, this year there was no age limit restrictions for admissions for Pre-Nursery but they will come into effect from the next session.
There are many feeder Schools and play schools which take direct admissions for Pre Nursery, get the enrollment process done and start preparing for next years admission for KG classes.
All the Best.

You nailed it Gaurav ! Thanks for your detailed reply. It was indeed helpful...
I have applied to around 35 schools but still worried on looking at the number of applications !
Well Said Gaurav.
As i had option of Modern Deepali (Pitampura) but seeing the infra and school transport of Modern Kundli, i have finalized Modern Kundli as both are branches of Modern Barakhamba.
Not Waiting for Delhi schools As Modern Kudli is class apart and school bus takes 45 min same time if you get selected in any good school in Delhi ( Except in case within 3km of your home)
South Delhi/East Delhi parents can try in Gurgaon/Noida/Modern Chamswood which is also branch of Modern Barakhamba and very near to South Delhi.( Depending on location as South Delhi/EastDelhi are very big)
Wishing every parent success !
Thanks again for helping everyone selflessly :)
I concur. Brilliant suggestions! Thanks for being a "Star Contributor of this season".
Yes parents should be mentally strong to raise kids who are strong enough to stand on their own leg. As u said, it’s not enough if the school has a great building, play areas, air conditioned classrooms, activity labs and computers or tablets. There is more into learning than just an infrastructure and facilities. Any child with a good grooming can survive in any environment or school. The best we can do is to ensure they are ready take on whatever comes their way according to realistic situations. It is important to equip our kids with life skills that can help them succeed in college, work place or anywhere they live.
Pray and wish all anxious parents get their best education for their lovely kids.
Good points lathaa. But its difficult to make this understand to parents who link their social status with the kind of school their kids go to !
Hi, Can you suggest a few names of feeder schools in Central Delhi which are taking direct admissions in Nursery?
You will get the direct admission in this school
plz share list for feeder school in east delhi thanks
well said gaurav
Many Schools including almost all DAV Schools applied UPPER AGE limit this year. How is it that they have been allowed this despite Govt. decision not to do this year.
