What if your child doesn't get selected in desired schools?

Hi All,

As we all parents wish to get the best possible education for our children, not of all us can get our children to top schools. As the D-day is coming nearer, I wish to know opinion of all the parents and moderators on the below points:

1) What if your child doesn't get selected to top schools or schools where you desired? Will you compromise and get your child admitted to some 'mediocre' schools?

2) What if your child doesn't get selected to ANY Schools you have applied? What should be the strategy adopted in this case?

here are my options till now

DAV public school sec 7 rohini
Himalaya public school sec 7 rohini
Himalaya international day boarding sec 9 rohini
St.Angels School sec 16 rohini
VSPK sec 13 rohini
Vidya Bharti Public school sec 15 rohini

Waiting in
DPS sec 23/24 rohini
Gitarattan public school rohini

i m in a fix as which school should i select to block a seat.

n what if i dont block a seat in any of the schools? Will they not consider when the 2nd list is out?

actually i have waiting in VSPK also but they are asking me to consider admission by blocking the seat before 23rd

You mean to say that Gitarattan is a better school?? as my niece is studying in this school but she is not liking the school (may be she has other reasons). But is this a good school for primary classes as i was also looking forward for this school?

I am talking about ST Angel only as FAS seats are left vacant after feb..Read in last year thread

@hitesh... as mentioned by Sakshi.... DIS admissions are done round the year...!!

Remember this is the time...where parents are most prone to take any wrong decisions being in a hurry...!!

I would suggest take your time .... talk to other people/parents there in schools...!! Make a wise decision..!!

everybody is talking about Venkateshwar global school, lancer convent school, the heritage school but there is no way that admission can be done in these schools without sibling or alumni quota. Rest of the schools are all the same as per what people say.

Nobody contacted me from this school as my child's name is not even on the waiting list otherwise i might have considered it as it was a good looking school and guards were well disciplined too.
