Delhi Public School, Mathura Road welcomes you to the Pre-School Admission process for the academic year 2009-2010.
Guidelines and procedure for filling the Online Registration Form

General Instructions:
i. Children who complete three years by 31st March 2009 only are eligible for registration for the academic session 2009-2010. Children born between 01-04-2005 and 31-03-2006 are eligible for Admission.
ii. The total number of seats available to class Pre-School 2009-2010 is 245 (i.e. General Category - 159; Management Quota - 49; Economically Weaker Section - 25; Staff quota - 12).
iii. You can apply online through the website (www.dpsmathuraroad.in)

2 Take a print out of the filled form and
3 Dispatch the duly filled form complete in all respect with attested documents and DD/Postal Order of Rs. 25/- in favour of Principal, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, payable at New Delhi, by Speed Post or Courier to "Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi - 110003". The size of the envelope should be 30 x 24 cms. Mention Regn. No. and name of the applicant on reverse of DD/PO.
4 Please keep a copy of filled form for your record.
iv. Forms for the economically weaker section will be available at the school gate on all working days from 0900 a.m. to 1100 a.m. from 3-11-2008 to 7-11-2008.

Important: You are advised to fill in only one online form. Duplicate forms shall be rejected.

Other Information

Criteria Definition

i. Neighbourhood: The specification of distance radius is as per school bus route.
ii. Sibling: A real brother or sister of the applicant who is on the school roll during the academic session 2008-09.
iii. Alumni: Father/Mother or both of the applicants who have passed class 10/12th from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road only (2.5/5 points to each parent will be allotted as a proof of passing class 10/12 respectively).
iv. Any child with special needs: A child who can be mainstreamed under inclusive education with the available medical facility in the school.
v. Transfer Case: Cases of transfer of father/mother/both since April 2008 will be awarded 05 points. Transfer not valid if it is within NCR.
Tabulation of Final Score
i. The list of all applicants with their total score will be displayed in descending order on 21 November 2008 at 1600 hrs.
ii. In the event of many applicants getting identical final scores in the lowest eligible scores, a limited use of the lottery system would be opted for within these applicants to select children for admission. This option will arise only in case of availability of seats for admission.
LIST OF ATTESTED DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH COPY OF ONLINE FORM.
The attestation should be done by a gazzetted Grade-I Officer.
Every year we have more applicants than seats available, therefore inability of the candidate to secure a seat is in no way a reflection of his/her caliber. Final admission is subject to the verification of the following documents (in original):
i. Birth certificate from the Registrar of Birth or equivalent authority in original.(First copy / Ink copy). Name of the child must be endorsed in the Birth Certificate duly countersigned by Registrar of Birth.
ii. Proof of residential address [Passport/Registered Lease Deed/Paid Electricity Bill/Paid MTNL Telephone Bill/Electoral Card. In case of rental accommodation, an affidavit on stamp paper should be submitted alongwith driving license]. School reserves the right to verify the residential address through home visits.
iii. In case of sibling applicants, the identity cards/admission order/fee receipt of sibling studying in DPS Mathura Road.
iv. In case of alumni of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road (father/ mother / both): School leaving certificates / Sr.Secondary / Secondary Board Certificates.
v. In case of applicants with special needs: Certificate of disability by competent authority..
vi. Single parent: proof of single parent status if any.
vii. Transfer Case: transfer certificate from employer stating date of transfer (since April 2008).
viii. Educational Qualification: Highest educational degrees/certificates only. Marksheet will not be valid.
ix. Proof of occupation: Certificate/document proving the parent's claim under school specific criteria.
x. Parents of shortlisted candidates will be called for informal interaction and for verification of original documents.
No undertaking regarding the documents mentioned above will be accepted at the time of interaction/verification.

 This affidavit is to be submitted by only those parents who are living in rented accommodation.
 This affidavit should be on a non-judicial stamp paper of the value of Rs. 10/- and should be duly attested by Notary Public.
 The applicant should have been residing at the given rented accommodation for minimum six months at the time of submission of the form.
