Dear Parents~Pls be careful as some schools are asking parents to block seat by depositing money, but that money won't be refunded back.In case you get admission in choice of your school.

Parents are requested to help each other by naming the schools who are doing the same or asking for Donation or flouting the guidelines in Dwarka or nearby schools as we have seen max cases among Dwarka Schools in last 3-4 years.
We have threads of same in this group only.

Parents should know that as per DoE guidelines, “If any parent, after depositing the full fee for admission of a child, chooses to withdraw the child from the school within one month from the date of admission, the school shall retain the registration charges, admission fee and the tuition fee for one month only, and shall refund all other amounts of fees or other charges within fifteen days of the request made by the parent(s), or guardian(s) to the school under proper receipt.
Parents should refrain from blocking seat before the declaration of first list since it goes unaccounted and money wont be refunded by the school. Schools make hay while the sun shines (admission season).
Parents should note refund would be done only under proper receipt in name of the school. Many schools receive money under the name of trust why belong to as per the previous years experiences which is not a valid receipt.
Be cautious! It's your hard earned money.

well deserved topic.
MBS asked us to block the seat by paying "some amount". They were even ready by 1000/- only to bock the seat.

Same happened with us also. We were asked to shell 25,000/- without receipt by MBS International school, Dwarka and told that our child's name would appear in first list. Negotiation ended up in cheque of 10,000/- but when name of my child did not show up in their first list and also in wait list on 20-03-2021, i had to stop the cheque. Saved !
Luckily my child got selected elsewhere now and i was saved from being duped off my hard earned money.

Just to add : schools often try to take advantage of panic created during Nursery admissions. My only advice to parents would be : to have patience. Even if you don't get admission in school of your choice in Nursery, you will get many more chances - most schools continue to take admission in KG, and other pre-primary classes. And in subsequent years the number of candidates vying for a seat are much lesser hence better chances of going through. So don't throw exorbitant amounts asked by schools.
