By pre-nursery you mean play schools?

Most of them take 2 year olds, some even admit one and a half year olds.

I don't thinkit's wise to admit such small kids in school. parents must take out quality time with children, play with them, read to them and show them places, make their habits and there are many good things to do. ANd then admit directly in nursery in a meaningful senior school which is up to class XII and close to ur home. Don't get fascinated by brands etc. Find a school which actually works upon children and has some good vision. Name does not matter

Pre-nursery admission can only be done in playschool age 2+. Approach any play school.

But if your child is 3+ as on 31st March 2015 then she will be eligible for nursery admission. Be regular to this forum for updated news regarding admission schedule in Delhi.

My duaghter's birth date is aug 2012 will she be elligible for nursery admission in any school?

Hi Himani,

Your daughter will be completing 3 years in Aug 2015.  So currently she is eligible for play school as she is 2+.  Next to next year i.e 31st March 2016 she will be eligible for Nursery Admission. Hope this answers your query.  Also in dwarka try a playschool near to your house so that it is not too tiring for the child during commuting and is easily accessible. :-)

Thank You Saryu, this definately helped. Howerver I have one more question, I have heard that pre-school admission is comparitively easier in schools in dwarka. So want to find out a good school sothat she can continue later classes there itself.

Any idea which good schools offer per-nursery education?

Hey,

There isn't much criteria for play-school admission, and most of them admit kids throughout the year. 

Walk in to play schools with-in a couple of kilometers of your home and choose one you feel comfortable with.

Mother's Pride, Brads and Cuties, Brain kids, Rishikul international, Euro kids, Tiny Tots, Icon international are some of the schools around my place (sec 6). 

We visited all these schools and made our decision based on staff, Space and cleanliness.  

Also, Some [play-schools ve tie-ups with proper schools, so your kid can automatically go to proper school next year (like students of mother's pride can automatically go to Presidium). Its good to ve some backup option.

Also want to know which classes kid undergo from nursery to 1st? Want to know what age kids are when they are in 1st.

Age criteria

For nursery -  3+ as on 31st March

For Prep or KG - 4+ as on 31st March

For Class I - 5+ as on 31st March.

Thanks Neetu, that means just 3 levels from nursery, there is nothing like upper KG, lower KG etc correct?

Yes himani, as latha ji mentioned

Proper schools have 2 years before 1st standard. 

Different schools have given different names to there pre-primary classes(nursery, preparatory, Kindergarden etc),

but essentially its 2 years of education before class 1.
