refund fees if admission cancelled

I got my child admitted in one of the schools on 25th January.

But now can get admission in one of my preferred choice of schools as WL is cleared. 

I want to cancel the admission and get refund from the first school. 

I am worrying that this being election year - the schools may try to take advantage.

Any advices ? Where can I get the circular ?

Election year does not make a difference in you getting your refund. School has to follow DOE.
