It will be applied online from a website portal by govt. as last year. see notification from DOE at their website

Dont worry it will be updated on DOE website. It will take little time. Check doe web site regularly.

as of now we apply in general category with no benefits...

later we apply under the ews/dg category...

will this be ok?

will it not amount to applying twice in the same school??

Yes Benefit depends upon category applied within.
