Regarding documenls valid as proof of address.
Some of indicative documents which can be considered as proof of residence of parent/
(a) Ration Card/Smart Card Issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father having name
of child).
(b) Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
(c) Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the pcrems.
(d) Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the
parents or child.
(e) Aadhaar Card/Ulfr card issued in the name of any of the parents.

I also have the same concern and discussed with one of the teacher in Indian school .
She suggested me to submit the Rent agreement along with any proof like Gas connection /Electicity Bill .

Dear Mr Moris Jasuja, thanks for ur reply, but my gas ans electricity bills are also in the name of my landlord . Will it do? Kindly reply.

Like I experienced, most of the schools also accept the Rent agreement but it should be alteast 6 months old.

Few schools asked for 1 year old rent agreement but you can attach last 2 rent agreements which are in continuation.

Very few schools asked for 2 proofs, For those  you must need to have additional proof along with Rent agreement.
