Hi Hitu, my fees submission date in Somerville and FASN is 28th. Will go ahead with Somerville basis the feedback and reviews of the experienced parents of this portal and also the feedback of few parents that I meet in the school (both schools). Also transportation is a mojor issue from my place to FASN ( as school don’t have own transportation from my place and it is some private transport company plying tempo travellers). Also we found Somerville is also good in the ECA during early years ( which was my concern form Somerville but this doubt is cleared by all the parents of existing students).

so finally you choose sommerville over FASn? have you submitted fees in sommerville ? And what is your fees submission date in FASN ?

Also request you to share your research and detailed feedback that you received and on the basis of which you choose sommerville over FAS?

@Ayush, During Orientation in April, Principal informed that the AC is from Nursery to Class 2. And the primary wing should be operational from next session and the children will be shifted there. 

Regarding our experience, we are quite satisfied with the school in terms of learning. Their major focus is on writing right from beginning. Few things you should be aware of that the child will get the homework almost everyday. They don't pay any attention if the child eating meals or not.

@Ankit - Thanks a lot for reply Ankit. So primary wing means till 5th.Right?It means our children will be shifted there.Any idea if it's fully AC.

And please share your experience for your child in the school.I am about to deposit fees in Somerville.

@Ayush, my son is studying in Nursery. Last year Principal informed that the new block is for the separate primary wing being constructed.

@Tamal - I visited Somerville and saw a new block coming up.Anyone knows which classes will be functional in this block and is it fully AC and from when it will be functional.

Hi Mithun... I would suggest going for Somerville. Reasons and also a preview into the ECA of Somerville...

I have friends whose children are in Somerville and are doing great. I havent seen FASN children participating in as many competitions as Sommerville. In art for sure, in juniour classes starting from Nursery, Somerville gives a lot of exposure to its children. There are some wonderful young budding artists that I know from Somerville, and the school participates and wins many interschool competitions at least in art...

I have been in Noida since 1990. As a child, I also have seen a lot of encouragement given to music also in Somerville. My cousins were in Somerville, and they were ace guitarists and singers. In fact, now, one is a news anchor in a top News Channel and the other is a RJ with Radio Mirchi. So, confidence and public speaking wise, I would give a big thumbs up to Somerville.

Overall too, Somerville has a more establised name than FASN.

Hi Tamal, I can see that you have been associated with Somerville for the last 6 years. So kindly let me know how they handle the kids specially the nursery and KG. Coz for me fundamentals and base building is very important. So would request your inputs in this. Also apart from studies ( since they are strict to that) how are they in overall development of a child. And since both of us are working, so how much nurturing is required at home interms of homework.
