Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Feedback/Information on Shivnadar, Scottish High, Lotus Valley and Kunskapskolan
I visited few schools last week and here is the information /feedback I collected.
Shivnadar School:
1. Infrastructure is coming up really well though its still far from complete. Had the modest reception compared to other schools I visited.
2. Met the admission counseler who seemed to be well informed and good to talk to.
3. Board - Follows CBSE board through out. Currently till class 7 and adding one class every year.
4. Age Criteria- Ready to relax the age criteria by few days (max one month) but not more than that
5. Admission Process- they take 2-3 times registration and then do draw to finalise the list.
6. Doesnt have pre-nursery.
Lotus Valley:
1. Infrastructure looked very good. reception area was pretty attractive with a nice and warm receptionist
2. Met Admission Counseler (Sonika)- well informed.
3. Board - follow CBSE throughout
4. Age Criteria - Ready to relax max by 15-20 days, not more than that. Make the sections basis the age group for e.g. July-Sep born kids in same class. Has pre-nursery also.
5. Admission Process - After registration (fees Rs. 1000), there will be interaction of Parents and Kid with the Principal (Anita Malhotra - Ex DPS R.K.P Faculty).
6. My Feedback - Since the school is run by (almost) DPS fraternity, there is this rigid focus on Academics specially after class 7 (Admission counseler actually spoke we focus on acedemics in higher class). So felt that though school boasts of extra curricular, it is actually going DPS way...more focus on academics.
Kunskappskolan
1. Infrastructure is simply awesome, they have 8 acres of land, construction will take 3 more years to complete. Location little obscure specially for someone not staying in DLF-I.
2. Met Lisa - admission counseler. She showed us the classrooms which are completely transparent with modern infrastructure. Students are given I-pads from class I which is connected to the smart boards in the classrooms and also to the teachers laptops.
3. Age Criteria - 3 years 3 months so take kids from Jan to Dec born. Sections are made to balance the gender and not by months the kids are born.
4. Board - They have designed their own curriculam which is approved by CBSE, so they wouldnt follow NCERT books but class XII certificate will be from CBSE.
5. Admission process - Registrations are open (Rs 1000 fee).Final admission decided after the interaction with the principal.
6. My feedback - its a new methodology (KED), may be /may not be successful,School seems to expat's delight. Fees will be close to 15-16K per month inclusive of everything.
Scottish High
1. Infrastructure is pretty decent but nothing much compared to Kuns or Shivnadar.
2. Board - follow the IB board in primary class (pre nursery to class V). Then shift to ICSE in class 6th. Give an option to students to chose either ICSE or Cambridge Univ Board in class X and ICSE or IB Diploma in class XII.
3. Age criteria- very rigid, wouldnt relax even by a day. So 3 yrs 6 months by Mar 31 2014.
4. Admission process - very limited seats, so as soon as the registration is open, it is first come first serve admission.
5.School seems to be a good choice with IB in PYP and then ICSE, one can always shift to CBSE in class XI (i feel CBSE is better in class XII). Would go on a sat 10.30 am to see the classrooms etc.

Nidhi...thanks for the informartion...very very useful..do you have any feedback on GD goenka public school/Shalom hills. My son is Jan 2011 born so the only schools we can look at are GD goenka, shallom, amity, banyan tree.,..thxs!! Sakshi

Amit,
1. Shivnadar's primary wing is complete and it would take atleasy 2 more years to complete the whole building.
2. We couldnt see Lotus Valley's infrastructure as it was a weekday, they have also called on a sat for school tour.
3. Kunskapskolan - the best is the school's infra undoubtedly.
4. For Scottish high, Lotus, the registrations would start anytime after 15th Aug, for Shivnadar, you should visit School expo in Apparel house on 10th Aug. -

I see a lot of discussion regarding school feedback. My daughter was at shiv nadar last year in KG. They are themself in a learing phase. Teachers are child friendly and they take care of kids well.
At the same time we cannot say the same for other departments. Meal is not up to the mark in terms of hygiene and my daughter had complaint of stomach ache and vomiting twice. After that i shifted her to other school. I still hear problem regarding food from other parents.
there are other issues in terms of dresses, which is not up to the mark and of low quality. Management side of school seems clueless regarding child welfare and find disconnect between non teaching department and parents.
Only good point they have is their teachers who are child friendly and take care of child well.
Do talk with other nursery or kg parents of shiv nadar, if possible for better decision.
