Part 2

So we have talked about the facilities and activities here, now we come to there philosophy and the environment at school. I can talk about these as teachers do interact a lot with students and parents and let us know these facts. According to them, the only tradition that Modern School follows is to remain Modern and ahead of times. I really appreciate the effort teachers put here in order to realise each child's potential rather than impose studies. They have smart classroom installed in every single class, all labs, AV room, mini theatre in its first year itself. They never complain to me about her academics and when i ask them worriedly, i always get one response "Your child is our responsibility. Trust us." They do tell me about her shortcomings not as a complain but to guide me so that we can together help her. So i am very satisfied in this aspect.

 Another important aspect which is often discussed even amongst us parents at school meets is regarding the management here. I would like to tell you all that it is not a franchise but a core branch and fully managed by the modern school barkhamba road administration only.

So i hope to have helped a few parents who would be wanting to know about this school and would recommend it to anybody who wants to make there children ready for the outer world and not merely studies as no one has ever asked me my marks in the real world.

I was wanting to share my experience with this school as my daughter is in 6th standard here and now planning to put my son also here and there can not be a better platform than this. It is going to be long but i hope to cover every aspect that we want to know as a parent.

Fist of all let me tell you all, Modern was not my first preference as there building was not completely ready and i had not heard much about it (later i came to know that it is because these people don't do much publicity like others) but i put my child here as i did not get admission in Mdps (As per them she is not good in studies) which later turned out to be a blessing in disguise. but i fail to understand that what are you doing as a school when you only want toppers and pressurise to study more. I feel school is a place where a child with  any potential needs to be nurtured and guided. Anyways, coming back to Modern School,

The Biggest difference after sending her here that i have seen is in her confidence and personality. As mentioned by another parent, She has become much more confident and street smart. My daughter use to be very shy and always consider herself inferior but not anymore. 

I am surprised to see so many activities already running here despite such a less strength and in my recent interaction got to know that they would be getting 3 new sports coaches and bringing it to a total of 20 sports  which is overwhelming for school in first year of its operation. But they say that its Modern School and we can not compromise on these aspects at all. All there sports facilities are top notch:- Synthetic Courts for Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Skating rink,Cricket pitches and nets(the cricket coach is an ex ranji trophy player), Indoor Air conditioned sports facilities include Table tennis, chess, Carrom and others. The good part is, that the school never boasts of all these and consider them essential. They have more than adequate music and dance facilities and very trained professionals for the same.I was also present at the school on 13th for Independence day celebrations (Junoon was the name of the function) and also during tree plantation and kite flying drives. I was very happy with the way students were performing (my daughter was a highlight there) and it could be clearly seen what difference this school brings. Excellent dance and skit performances by very small children.

Yes Vasant Vihar or vk. I think it is simillar only.

Sakshi - You mentioned "want to bring it at par with their other schools like VK", not sure what is VK? Are you talking about VV - Vasant Vihar?

Hi

It is a core branch of Modern School, Barakhamba Road. I visited today and interacted with teachers and parents and got to know that all educational and operational aspects are being extensively looked upon by modern school barakhamba senior staff only as they really want to bring it at par with their other schools like VK within couple of years.
