Moderators and Parents

We have not been able to through with any of our preferred school in ongoing nursery admissions.

Initially, we thought that we will get our ward admitted in a good play school and will have complete nursery from there but with the experience of other parents, it seems like the KG admissions results will be more or less the same and we have to go through the same ordeal.

Now, we are planning to pursue the management seats in some of the schools. Though, we did not want to go for management seats but seems like there is no option left.

Please provide the feedback on the below listed schools specifically in terms of communication and other areas of development and if you can share on how can we route to the management seats for these schools will be of great help.

a) SVIS Dwarka

b) VIS Sec 10  Dwarka

c) Springdales

d) BBPS

e) Indraprastha World school

f) Mount Carmel Anand Niketan.

Springdales and Bbps do not have mgmt seats.
Amongst others, Carmel is the best option and can be approached thru an email or direct application, requesting them for a mgmt seat. Other 3 options can also be approached via email.
They will get back to you.

Thanks Avnish.

Springdales and BBPS do have management seats but it is hard to track down the right people for these schools.

As per your suggestion, I have written them for the Management seats.

The other thing that I would want to know, how much BBPS focuses on the communication skills. Per my assumption of BBPS, it is a traditional school with good academics. I just want to know how much they focus on the overall development and how far are they comparable with the new age schools like SVIS which flaunt about their teaching methodology etc.

@Deepti:

MQ quota you are talking about is a topic of debate. It's totally on school discretion which route they follow. Just to give you any idea... These are few process via which schools fill their MQ

1. Letters and applications: The lucky ones... From past few years we have seen schools accepting letters and application mentioning your interest in schools. And few schools have come up with positive response in this case... Though a cumbersome task but can be very fruitful if your child fate's written in golden words

2. Jack and Approaches: The rare ones... Well I guess the name said everything.... If you have any jack/connection to a big fish in your circle.... consider your work done. Only problem is ... The percentage of such cases is too small to discuss and you cannot be dependent just on this.

3. Donations: The Unpopular ones....There have been scenarios where parents filling more than 20 forms dont secure a single seat. And in Delhi..... its not a hidden fact... that school do have a backdoor. You just need to have a genuine source for it.

Just in case you dont find your dream school....I recommend you to go for these approaches in the same order.

PS:

Category #1: You can start as early as of now.

Category #2 & #3: Yes you are lagging a bit for them but its never too late. You might want to get in touch with someone reliable for that

BBPS: BBPS is one of the most sought after school in Delhi. School focus on every aspect of education. In early years there is not much stress on child and they have alot of activities(Both Paid/Unpaid). They do have swimming too but they introduce it a bit later(Aprox from KG).

Since no school is perfect, BBPS is no exception. Sometimes I feel school is a bit non-transparent ...like they will ask you to deposit a huge sum of money in their Child Education Society Trust with no explanation. They will also make you sign a declaration which says they are not responsible to any mishappening to you child in school.

But then again you can/have to live with all such things when you see your child getting one of the best education for the most avg fees.

@Avnish: I wish what you said, might be true, but unfortunately almost every school does have it. The Bitter truth is ...They just dont come out in open. So you need to approach the best person for the job
