what is the format for affidavit,, any specific, nd does it has to be on 10 rs stamp paper or any further??

Nursery norms likely to be out this week

The nursery admission guidelines are expected to come out later this week. According to officials at the Directorate of Education, they are ready with the guidelines but are awaiting the Delhi High Court’s decision on a case filed against the points system followed by schools.

“Our guidelines are ready and there are very few changes from last year but we are waiting for the high court to give its decision as there is no point releasing a set of guidelines only to change them later,” said a senior official.

An NGO had filed a case against the private schools in the city, saying that the points system they follow was against the Right to Education Act. Schools in the city, as of now, are allowed to frame their own set of points for giving admission in nursery. Most schools give points for alumni, sibling distance and girl child.

According to RTE, meanwhile, schools cannot discriminate against students at all.

According to Ashok Aggarwal, member of NGO Social Jurist that has challenged the points system in court, distance is the only criterion that schools can use to select children. Using any other criteria is violation of the RTE, believes Aggarwal.

Under the present circumstances the guidelines can be expected by the end of the week. The forms will be available from January 1 and the admission process has to be completed by March 31.  There will be no centralised forms.

@Priyanka,Many would be online but not all and you have to fetch from school in others.

@Pallavi,Yes you need to.Few schools might ask for it.

@Priyanka,Some School ask name printed on B.C. So take you old B.C and get the name printed(you need to submit old one and get 10 copies for future use at nominal cost)

tell me abt admission forms for nursery?

i have birth certificate of my daughter and doesnot have her name in it.should i have to make anew certificate for her?

Please go to the authority which issued the certificate. Usually, the schools ask for a certificate which has name on it. The process for those born in Delhi is simple and takes around three-four days. Go to the MCD office where the certificate was issued and fill in the relevant form. You can get as many copies of the certificate as you want.
