Comment by Sakshi (Moderator) on October 17, 2014 at 10:37am: No ,They cannot ask for 2 months extra . you have to pay just for the time your child has attended/was enrolled. As per HC ruling school can ask for quarter advance fees but parent can request for monthly fee payment. write to DOE DIr .

We had written to DOE but school gave statements in media , its not their fault if admissions are delayed as they had to give salaries to teachers n other expenses.

DOE did not issue any notice to waive off or reimburse .Every parent was forced to pay first quarter fees .

I want to withdraw my child from a school where I got him admitted into nursery this year as I wasn't happy with the school. The school had taken the admission fee and the 1 St quarter fee also that is from apr - jun where the children had not even stepped into the school. Now when I want to withdraw they want me to pay for 2 months extra without returning anything that I have paid them already. My question is that is that justified and should I pay? Weren't the schools told by the DOE that they shouldn't charge for that quarter when the child wasn't in school. It's ok if they don't give me anything back as I knowingly paid that amount as I was desperate to block that seat. But why should I pay them extra now. Please quide me so that I go about it accordingly. Thanks

None of us is a alumni of a good school.we live in neb Sarai near iGNOU so distance wise also don't get a chance in any good school. Above that he is a boy so missed on those points also.
