Comment by niva sabharwal on August 10, 2017 at 11:27am: hello everyone... we are done with 2nd round of interview y'day.. and principal sir took almost 15-20 mins.. our daughter was every active and sang 3-4 songs and principal sir also listened to her and recorder video.... but guys.. fees is really on a higher side its 1 lac 20,000 lumpsum without any uniform or books. and per month 11, 000 excluding transportation... so all the best who considering apee jay

Comment by AMIT KUMAR SAXENA on August 9, 2017 at 10:17pm: We had our interaction yesterday. We have till 16th Aug to deposit the DD for Fee. I will go later this week to collect the joining forms etc from the office and then I can comment on overall fee structure and refund amount etc.

About the number of students, I have heard some parents in the playschool complaining about high student to teacher ratio but this is not the case. They have build a new nursery wing and created a new section "G" from this session. So the average students would come down per section. Currently they have 40-45 students in each section.

Comment by AMIT KUMAR SAXENA on August 9, 2017 at 6:17pm: I got a call today and my kid was offered admission. Thank you all in the forum for your valuable contributions. If your interview is earlier in the morning (I think they start at 8:30), then you will be free soon, otherwise it keeps on piling up as the 30 min slot for 5 kids is not sufficient. The principal/VP take good 15-20 min per interaction. And in between there are other teachers, regular day to day issues to handle. So if you are lucky and your slot is 9:30, you could just barely hope to get free by 11:30. We had our slot at 11 and we got free by 1:30.

Coming on to the questions, since the screening is already done, they are now selecting students. So they want you to feel welcome and part of this school and are treating parents very warmly (it felt more like a bonding session, rather than a grilling session).

You should just prepare the basics about your own job, education and residence. Also the question about "Why APJ" is more to judge if you will get your child into this school after admission is offered and will not jump the boat to some other school.

They have called 720 kids and have around 320 seats to offer (8 sections X 40 students) so the odds seems to be 2:1 but consider that there are many parents for whom APJ is second or third choice, they have kept enough numbers to offer admissions to good 450-500 Kids overall.

Another point is that since the waiting time outside principal office could range from 1 to 2 hours or more, make sure that your child is well rested and fed. Carry Juices, chocolates, cookies etc.

Just relax and be yourself, at this stage, they are not interested in your achievements or accomplishments but they want to see if you will be able to give enough quality time to your kid so that he/she can cope up with the school activities. Good luck to all
