Scrapping all points will not change situation drastically...

As we all know the situation, seat availability is aprrox. 1% as compared to applicants applying, atleast for Top schools in delhi.  Problem here is huge gap between demand and supply, which can not be changed overnight.

It's clearly governance failure added with poor planning, lack of supervision & disastrous implementation…!!

Plus extra burden of EWS to cater so called "VOTE BANK"

EWS is another disaster in making, why open category parents bear the expenses of EWS (including fake ones)?

DoE  did constitute a team of officers who were to visit schools and do a random audit of Tfr cases to ensure only genuine cases were being honored by the schools. Strict guidelines were also issued to schools for due dilligence.

Had we given them a chance, this would have contained a lot of the damage done by fakes. It was already apparent in DPS and other top schools, where at times almost 40-50% of total cases were denied the points claimed in their applications.

Parents were still unhappy and went the PIL way. So once the Tfr points are scrapped and 75 pointers lose their confirmed seats, they ought to be given an equal chance on open seats with 70 pointers. so, fresh draw was required, not sure why doE suggested otherwise.

And now, parents are still not getting into the reputed schools. so, they want scrapping Alumni and potentially sibling points also.

@ Raman, very well evaluated...

I have few points to add:

1: DoE/LG has created all this mess, court is soft on these babus. Why..?

2: This whole situation has rise due to FAKE TRF cases. What about them..? Why should one be soft on those who has no fear & respect for Law..?

3: There is no agency/department  to take onus on investing all fakes.., beat transfer or EWS. We all will acknowledge the presence of fake EWS as well.

This year nursery admission has become a good example of complete Governance failure… And no one is penalizing the law breakers, as usual only law abiding citizens faces the music… So lets face it a bit more, with patience… :)
