st marks school(meera bagh) is going to be fully air conditioned soon, and also will increase it's fees accordingly ( around 6k pm  excluding transport ). so those applying for the magic beanstalk, can decide accordingly.

@kavleen earlier they were charging 6k for the nursery/kg and 3.8k 1st onwards. they have increased the fees from this session only,so many parents are withdrawing their children from the school.

Please tell me about the academics of Prabhu Dayal Public School - Shalimar Bagh. How much you rate this school's all over working. My kid has got admission in Pre-School class of this school only and should I try for other schools next year? Please guide me.

@Vijeta Bhatia. I think you should see the progress & development of you kid. within 3-4 months you will get to know the difference before & now if you are not satisfied then you can switch over to another as you have very much time for that till then you will be getting more information about other schools also.

can somebody advise, based on previous years experience, if waitlisted candidates have a chance of admission in DPS Vasant Kunj (Classes I - VIII)

my son is selected in the first list of dps vk for class I. but it is far from my residence. so i didnot admit him.

@SD. Its very tough for wait list candidate as only few parents dont enroll after being selected.

is the number of candidates kept in waiting has any relevance with number of anticipated vacates or new vacancies... as in class IV they have kept only one candidate in waiting list, while in class VII number of candidates are 15

i have options for admission in std 2nd in JM international, maxfort, sachdeva global, sri venkateshwar,sam international and paramount international. I m looking for admission only for one year as i missed timelines in some good schools this year and am sure to get to secure admission next year. Kindly suggest as looking for a decent school and fees is also a concern..

@SD Yes they are according to the seat availability. Like in DPS dwarka there were 9 seat for 1st in gen & after draw they kept 2 seats in wait list.

@Ritu Bahl. According to you criteria & fees i would suggest JMIS>Maxfort>Suchdeva>SVIS>Paramount>SAM. Do you have fees structure of all if not then i can provide you the approx you would be getting.

any admissions open for class 4> in south delhi schools?

@SD. You have to call the desired school now as the session has already started. If they have seat they will provide you.

@Mukta. In my views kindly visit the school & request them. If they have they will sure do it in case of seats.

@Ruchika. Its a good School.

@Mukta. Same case with me but when my wife requested them they called us & after interaction we were given seat. I have applied in BGS Dwarka on phone they told there is no vacancy but by req. & visiting the school we  were given seat.

My friend got call from DPS eok fr docs verification for class 2  .. Does this indicate confirmation or this is the general process before finalizing

I think its general process only, since the online forms are still being accepted..

@Mima. As far as i know DPS verify the doc after selection. If this is not the cause then may be he or she may have got good points.

No, Sandeep...they are calling parents for verification...however still online process of applying is going on.  this is not confirmation of admission maybe to make the list as good as possible..

so they are calling all the parents who hv applied and wait is still nt over :|

i have different opinion regarding which school is better than others...some schools have good brand value based on their previous track records..which may or many not be that good in current scenario...some schools are actually better than these branded schools but name is not highlighted that much...following are my own criteria for being a good school.

1. Students per class should be less than 40.

2. Teachers well experienced, educated and well motivated (not stressed as they are in most branded schools)

3. Discipline and encouragement to participate in academic as well as non-academic events.

4. Curriculum design n structure.

5. Infrastructure esp sports, art, and music (these should not just show pieces)

   or there should not be junior school feelings even in a senior school.

6. Management initiatives

Parents may like to name few schools where these parameters are perfectly in place, so they are good schools...i think its the time, we should stop chasing just brands..
