My friend got call from DPS eok fr docs verification for class 2  .. Does this indicate confirmation or this is the general process before finalizing

I think its general process only, since the online forms are still being accepted..

@Mima. As far as i know DPS verify the doc after selection. If this is not the cause then may be he or she may have got good points.

No, Sandeep...they are calling parents for verification...however still online process of applying is going on.  this is not confirmation of admission maybe to make the list as good as possible..

so they are calling all the parents who hv applied and wait is still nt over :|

i have different opinion regarding which school is better than others...some schools have good brand value based on their previous track records..which may or many not be that good in current scenario...some schools are actually better than these branded schools but name is not highlighted that much...following are my own criteria for being a good school.

1. Students per class should be less than 40.

2. Teachers well experienced, educated and well motivated (not stressed as they are in most branded schools)

3. Discipline and encouragement to participate in academic as well as non-academic events.

4. Curriculum design n structure.

5. Infrastructure esp sports, art, and music (these should not just show pieces)

   or there should not be junior school feelings even in a senior school.

6. Management initiatives

Parents may like to name few schools where these parameters are perfectly in place, so they are good schools...i think its the time, we should stop chasing just brands..

DPS RKP is flagship school DPS chain and is among most sought after schools focussing on academics in India

Flip side - lot of pressure on children after 5th / very competitive 

Positives - After 12th if child is bright then lot of  opportunities  for getting scholarships 

Amity n DPS both follow same pattern of education which just focus on academics.

If the main branch is not far away (R K Puram) I would highly recommend you to change the school to DPS EOK !!

P.S -Don't expect any hi-fi infra in DPS .

IS DPS RKPURAM will come up with admission in class KG also??

As per parents ..no vacancy in kg.moreover dps would have

Opened Admissions.. in case of vacancy in kg.

@Infoshri. DPS Open admission in KG just after nursery procedures are over & now i dont think so. But can call them if they have seats. But in my views i dont think they have seat. May be you can try for class 1st next year.

@Gunjan. I just got information from some one. If you know any body whose children study in nursery then fees of nursery & KG are same. For NKB Sec- 4 dwarka is 25000/- at time of admission including qtr fees excluding transport & NKBG Sec -17 dwarka is around 20000-25000/- qtr.

@Arohi Gupta. Wait till for the first week of session after summer break & call the school. May be there will be possibility. As transferable cases are there in school. enquiry in next week i.e after 1st july.

Hi All, We are currently in London and will be shifting to Noida next month. My elder daughter is 6+ age and eligible for 2nd Class as per CBSE. But since it's mid term admission so don't know which schools have the vacancies and how to contact/apply there. Request you all to suggest & guide us please in this regard. Many new age schools n international school might start with nursery Aug onwards but old established schols like like DPS Noida etc will start after nov (better drop application or email in all desired schools) They might call you.
