@Ved Mittal. At initial stage it is important that child should get its basic strong. This year many parents has enrolled their child in nursery at the age of 4+. So it doent matter for 1-2 years. but your child will get better knowledge in DPS that Bal bhavan you will seethe difference so dont worry about the age.

my son has just joined BBPS, Rohini in class nursery in the current session of 2017-18. my son is march born, so he would be among the youngest in his class. though the school seems to be fine, but i want him to go to a better school next year - should i again target nursery admissions next year (since he is march born) or should i go for KG admissions ? my understanding is that most of the schools in north and west delhi permit age between 3 and 4 years for nursery admission. and my son would be just above 4 before 31st march 2018. kindly advise.

@Arpita. Did you tried for KG for your child this year. Next year he will be 5+ & will be eligible for class 1 if i am not wrong. What will be the age criteria next year cant say, so if he gets through KG this year then he will be fine. Dont bother about the younger or older its fine. But dont make him site at home if he doesnt got through KG. Can try next year as per the guidelines from DOE as he will be secured from this session so you can go through for next year. Its according to my opinion. 

@Sandeep ji, he just turned 3 yrs old this march (2017), and will turn 4 years old next year (in 2018). he was eligible for nursery this year n he has joined nursery in bbps rohini this year only, this month in April. i just want him to get into a better school next year. should i try again for nursery next year or KG ? my son has age advantage as he is the youngest in his current batch.

@Arpita. You should try for KG next year. dont worry about the age according to class. It can be more clear after the guidelines next year. Dont waste his year in same class. As nursery is just introduction to the school environment for the child he will be adjusted as he grows year by year. try for KG next year.

No Springdales school does not come with vacancies in open domain like DPS , you need to give application and follow up on regular basis and they might calll you wen vacancy is there

but many  New age school n other traditional school start with nursery also depending on vacancy

I would suggest you to give application in all desired schools

DPS follows point system and comes out with admissions notifications depending on vacancies.But still give application in all desired schools ( no guarantee if vacancy is there in that particular class) and your ward should be clear with all subjects of class 6th as some schools might take test. Also follow up on regular basis

I got a call for admission from DPS GBN for my son in Prep. I have to pay the fees by next week;

Shall I go ahead or wait for other schools? What is your opinion on DPS GBN.

My other query would be that my son will be 4 years and 1 month on 31st March 2018, so I can apply in nursery in schools like Shiv Nadar, FAS etc which accept 3.6+ year for nursey admission or shall I go ahead and try for admission in KG, but I notice that not many schools have admission for KG opened yet

@Mohik Garg. Give a try in 2018 session as you may get admission chance in school despite of age criteria depending on seat availability. Interaction of the child will be compulsory.
