All the parents of Noida area who are interested in getting their ward admitted in DPS Noida can join this group and interact among each other and can also interact with previous year parents who admitted their wards in Dps Noida
@thanks Mita, i am quite hopeful for Cambridge noida as my son's interaction went very well, even at VBPS too and thats why we did not submit the fees in Amity
Has anybody with his/her kid September 2009 born has got call for interaction in DPS. I am not sure but one of my friend is suggesting that they prefer kids with more age so kids getting into 3.5 by September end. (Same may be one of the parameter for FAS) Please note information not given by any reliable source just mentioned by one of my friend
it's really a kind of torture of parents ..... why and at what criteria they r rejecting without any interaction.... it's so depressing ... i m still waiting for mail but has lost hope ....
@Himanshu....I want to have your opinion over " introduce yourself"....what one should say? i have talked so many persons and even to my daughter's play school teacher...they told that one should tell their name or qualification....i think then wat to say in Introduction part....though they told to say regarding how disciplined you are etc. can you have your opinion plzz
Got the Rejection mail from DPS at 5 PM today. Even in FAS our kid didn't get a chance though we live in Sec-62 Noida and i am a Home-Maker [professionally qualified]. Not sure what exactly they are looking for or its a random number algorithm thats run. Felt like with so many kids around instead of selection they just need to find a reason for rejection. Wat say now!!
@Ashish -> My kid March 2009 even though he didn't get the call so the rationale is incorrect.
Awed by the reputation of DPS, I too went there earlier this year for a higher class. The inconsiderate and arrogant staff wasted parents' same 4 hrs but 3 more times......and everytime it could have been done in max half an hr. Was shocked to see the way they were (mis)managing things. Even on the day of the written test, children were asked to stand in queue for 1 hr for some funny registration (which was already done few days earlier).Have you ever appeared for some exam where you were asked to stand in queue for 1 hr just before writing the exam.
The principal also was sounding like she was also a visitor there, like us. For every other word that she was speaking, she was looking towards another senior teacher sitting besides her for approval.
I was glad that the other school in my radar called us before DPS and I didn't face the dilemma of choosing between the 2, after watching such drama at DPS.
I am putting this here just to make the parents, who didn't get the call, realize that there are better places out there and it is definitely not the end of the world. In the absence of a transparent shortlisting criteria, perhaps it is this hyped school, who doesn't deserve your child.
@Sanjay, so you are suggesting we should stop waiting for results of APJ, Amity, DPS, etc reputed schools of Noida and should start looking for world schools?
Or should we shift to a place which hosts world's top institutes and universities and start our child's schooling there?
@ Mandeep ...he is not saying so just want to say that if a child has right guidance and talent he/she can hit the target one day whether belong to a highly reputed school or university.....but parents also should not stop giving their best to kids so don't stop waiting and trying but also don't be hopeless.... right Sanjayji...
@Sanjay, Sugandh,
Definition of excellence, talent, targets, right guidance to achieve it, are all highly forward looking terms. The way the world is today, couldn't have been thought of by our parents 30 yrs back when we started our pre-nursery. The need of the time is a forward looking school which can provide guidance to parents and child on how to be prepared for a un-known tomorrow.
Waiting for e-mail from DPS, waiting for intimation from Somerville, Waiting for final result to be updated by Amity (was supposed to be out by 6pm today), Waiting for results of APJ, Mayoor, VBPS. 1st interaction at FAS tomorrow, followed by wait.
What a waiting life, feel like being on railway platform?

Apart from the obvious things , state the ways (very specific) in which you can help the school or be their ambassadors.
