DPS Result is out in Oct. I did not get success and I will never wait till Oct. if I get seat in any school. This makes life too complex and in case admission is required in DPS we have to waste some hard earned money by withdrawing from some school

Mandeep me too in same situation and now loosing hope. They should have Yes or NO instead of keeping us wait. Some schools are declaraing the list why can't other schools do the same. If they call us in Oct, then also we have to withdraw the admission.

Actually these schools will never be at loosing end. Its only parents who will loose

I have deposited the fees in APJ. I am not sure if I would like to forfeit it for any other school, though have completed final round of interactions at AMity,VBPS, cambridge and awating results. There are also some good options among the so called world/international schools, like Mayoor,LV, etc. but I am going with my gut feel and wud stay with APJ.

I think that if the general attitude of the school management is good, other things would automatically fall in place, barring minor aberrations. Somehow I didn't get this +ve feeling in my interactions with DPS.

I am totally agree wid sanjay....all schools more or less are equally good........it does not have much affect over your child’s development.....a child’s development depends upon three things....school+ parents+ child itself....so just think dear parents if there is a little difference between schools does not affect much.....and you can not say one school is very-2 good over other...only a little difference...some schools give some more emphasis over extra -curricular activities....but it does not mean other is not giving because they are in competition wid each others....so don’t think so much....and put your ward according to your choice and not due to that others are saying it is good....
I want to ask those who are saying DPS is good....why DPS is good?..just say 5 lines in support of this...and same wid amity.....why amity is good over other........

Sorry to hear that I was thinking that I am the only one who has got regular rejections in Amity, FAS & then DPSN...  I have a bit tougher situation bcoz my child was suffering from fever during VBPS & Cambridge interaction so even child interaction part over there hasn't gone very well.

Now I have started looking for alternate schools like Sommerville International, Billabong, (Mayoor - I am not sure if they are still accepting form there), Kothari...

Today was our interaction in DPS NOIDA and it was a good experience for my child...They are taking 500 rs as a reg fees and they will give a card to tie on the frnt of baby with name nd form nmr,then they r giving a form to fill before interaction which has some questions like strenth of your child and expectation frm school etc....main was the kids interaction ,how understanding he is ....teachers were asking simple questions like in which school do u study..whts your name...there was a puzzle and pattern matchng game,coloring a pic,a helicopter pic was there and your kid will  will have to join that block..a pattern of yellow and red circle was drawn on a board and your kid will have to make same pattern on the right side...teacher will ask your kid to put a red calor bead in a thread and theb blue color bead just to knw whther he knows colrs or not,there was a picture on paper whuch was divided into 4 parts like sky,road,grass and water and then some cuttings like car,duck,floer etc...and child has to put correct pictures on correct place...then a shadow game was there ....shadows of some pics were there and kid has tp put the correct [pic on correct shadow..then there was a simple intro interaction of parents with principal ....your expectation with school and y dps.......formal intro...

I also got a regret mail.

@Jitin, Actually in the forum it was talked that today they will mail rejections, however I diodn't receive any email from them till 3:30 pm .

I recieved the interaction call at 3:30 pm today....Form no is 4084

FINAL RESULT OF DPS NOIDA INTERACTION WILL BE DECLARED BY 7NTH OCTOBER

Yes Jitin I received mail on 19th September and my interaction is on 26th September.

@Moderators, in contrast to the questions asked by school, is there any forum where parents can ask questions to the school regarding their performance, the way they would be handling the kids. Do they do any kind of "road shows" etc.

Agreed that we can get all such quantitative data thru RTI. But I was more interested in some qualitative aspects, which could help me choose the FIRST among equals or the best fit for my child based on the environment and values which we have at home.

My point is if there are some kind of orientation sessions, prior to the admission process, it might help both the school and parents.

In my case, the reputation and hype got shattered when I had the first hand experience with the school.

e.g. a couple of instances........I happened to saw how the 8-10 yr kids behaved with the guard at the school gate and the bus drivers; also overheard 2 teachers during the interaction formalities (they had the audacity to talk non-sense, well aware that they are in the company of parents/children); the way they treat you - as guests/partners/school's ambassadors or as helpless customers in a seller's market.

@ Vidushi sharma..one of the question was how will you help your kid to cope up with birth of another sibling or if it is ur single child what will u do to see taht he/she is not over pampered, another question was that if u see that the bus driver starts the bus before the child is settled what will u do?

can someone inform me about the school timings and the fee structure (quaterly tution fees, other annual fees etc..)
