Thanks Paras. Today i went to Mayoor but they didnt return us back original bc certificate they said process will take a week time :(. Let c what will happen in DPS tomm without bc certificate

@Gaurav- Yeah that is mistake at my part. getting it done from authority in a day is not possible.

@ritu: i was in same situation. last friday i went to mayoor school for admission(with filled form and DD). I requested to take  attested copy of B/C but they refused. they also  said it will take 7 days to return the original B/C after receiving application from parents. i asked them why it takes so long time? the accountant replied they have so many students record and it will take 4 -7 days. in case of urgenycy they will try to return it withing 4 days but may take maximum7 days.

i returned back with admitting my son. other all school i know asking to carry original B/C for verification at the time of of admission.

dont know why Mayoor are following different rules..............

@Prasun- But when i asked them at the time of admission they said we will return you back very next day incase of urgency. 

Ritu,hopefully DPS will understand the issue. It should not be a problem.

Did you confirm again that they will deduct only 12000.

Today VBPs results are out. My son got selected in Mayoor, VBPS and Khaitan. We are confused which one to go ahead with. What are your feedback. very less time to decide as need to pay fees.

Shilpa I explained it earlier also. See KPS & VBPS are more sought after then Mayoor. Among them VBPS will be batter then KPS. If you want to experiment then Mayoor is best.

Vijay many have left boat of Mayoor, any specific reason to choose KPS over Mayoor.

I will not say bad about Mayoor , But in academics wise KPS is good and CBSE 12 and 10 th results is also good .If u compare with mayoor. and i talked some parents and teacher about KPS then they suggested me to go 4 KPS and 2000+ parents applied for KPS and some were short listed . In mayoor i think 500 + parents were applied and most of selected.

hi Ipsita these schools are too new to say anything about academics...Somerville Sec 22 is very good in academics but not much feedback on other things..if u target academics then try somerville sec-22.

Ipsita u can also book a seat in kothari or mayoor and keep trying for other options...mayoor deducts 12000/- on cancellation before march 2013 and kothari deducts approx 35K on cancellation.

My son seems to be missing it by few weeks as he is 25th Feb 2011 born. Any ideas if the school is strict about the age criteria? I will also try to check with school authorities!

Anand, Pls let us know what school authorities told you. My daughter is 7 Feb 2011 born and she is also missing it by one month. I also called Mayoor yesterday, and they told me that after interaction only, they will decide whether she is eligible for nursery or pre-nursery.

The Mayoor School ad is in todays HT(main paper),page 3 lower extreme right side. u can see it online also on hindustantimes.com epaper

@Sonia - they told me the exact same thing that they will not reject the admission form just on the age criteria, rather would like to comment after reviewing the development of child.

@Ipsita - Thanks for sharing the information! Do you happen to remember if the age criteria was exactly same last year i.e. 3.3 or 3 years as of March 31st?

Mayoor does not reject any forms and you can get admission till april.

So dont block your hard earned money and if they are refunding major component then no harm

i know few cases from delhi who were from east delhi and took admission in mayoor in april /may after all delhi list were out and they could not get admission in any school.

Any last date to submit the form for mayoor ?? Also, plzz share if anyone has mayoor's fee breakup ..

Per the advertisements, it seems like no last date as such for submission of admission forms!

Does anyone know after how much time you may get the interaction date after submission of the admission form? Also does the school confirm the admission on the interaction date or after sometime?

Apeejay is well established but has high teacher student ratio.

Mayoor is ok but for me its far on expressway almost 10kms from my place.

Khaitan i feel burden the students...nursery children begin with writing small alphabets which i think is too much for 3.6yrs olds as they are learning to hold pencils.

My daughter got through Mayoor School for Pre-Nursery. She was selected for 2nd round of interactions for both Amity and APJ, but we didnt make it to first list. We havent applied anywhere else as she does not meet the criteria of age for most of the schools (her present age is 2.5 years). We dont want to take risk for the second list of Amity. For APJ, we have dropped the idea after meeting the principal (sounded arrogant). Also, we are against the idea of sending our daughter to Nursery at the age of 3. So, would probably be going with Mayoor. One query - Are Pre-nursery kids in Mayoor automatically promoted to Nuresery? Also, I hope we dont have to pay admission fees and other charges again in Nursery! Please help in these queries...

@Neha - there is no last day for submission of application form (NurserY). I spoke to reception and they said it is on first cum first basis and the process will continue unless the seats get filled.

@ananad whats your review about school. i got seat confirmation from Mayur. but i have to decide between DPS 132, Mayur and khaitan (if selected there)

@Anand , i visited d  school on 20th & was told that 21st was the last day for interaction & form submission. we had our interaction on 21st & got the selected in mayur but havent paid d fees yet. It was surprising, in today's TOI , therez mayoor school's ad saying that last date is 28th sept for forms.

Just to inform, we got call from APJ in the second list but have decided against it.

Withdrawn from Mayoor..My daughter got through Amity..

As per Accounts office, mgt. will deduct 29000 and refund the rest. As per my calculations, Admission Fee (17,000) and Annual Charges (12,000)  = 29,000. However,  I will definitely contest why annual charges are being deducted. I withdrew in one week.

Is it better than Lotus valley or DPS 132 expressway ?

DPS 132  is better than Mayoor.
