actually the 8 kms should be sub divided into 0-3 km, 4-6 km & 7-8 kms and first preference is given to those who reside most near to the school, then only the criteria of limit of 8 kms works out logically & except sibiling all should be treated equal no matter whether girl child, alumni, transfer etc

Seriously this is not the solution to sub divide the distance. But yes all the reservation should be banned except sibling.

...... honestly, i am not fighting to get into any of the luxurious elite school as i will not be able to afford their fee structure, and even if my son's name get short listed it is of no use of me, but yes a normal school which can provide a good academic & over all development of the child under the umbrella of my affordability (2800-4000) ......... thats what i am looking for..... its of no use of me if my son get selected in DPS, GD Goenka, Indrapastha Intl, Sachdeva, Sri Venkt ........ so like me every parent must have their limitations & parameters set for themselves

Went to Maxfort Dwarka today as they called me for "Document Verification". Here is the snapshot of the talk 

1. They asked me to submit my mobile phones outside to a lady before entering a room

2. Started talking about the nursery guidelines and my preference and viewpoint about Maxfort

3. They would be admitting the kids to their Junior school (Max Kids) opposite to Indraprastha school and from 2nd class onwards the child would be coming to the main branch

4. Though they did not directly ask for a capitation fees..they asked 20K as transport security (Refundable) and 30K as technology security (Refundable)

5. They asked me to confirm till saturday 

@ABCD this is the prob then my bro.. schools are very cunning they will find one way or the other they will do what they want to do..... only parents will suffer

I doubt as they already down-select the 172 candidates based on Alumni and Sibling points hence still any scope left/seats?

@ABCD even with the money, you are getting chance for the admission....otherwise there are lots of parents neither  getting shortlisted and even nor getting any such calls :(

@Madhu...Dont worry..One thing we have in Dwarka is presence of such "Good" schools..Definitely you are on radar of any one of these :)..How can they leave a money making opportunity with even one parent!!

BGS is having draw for general/girls on 25th Feb 10 am

 they are indirectly calling parents as sake of counseling & introduction should buy a reserve a seat in SAM International by paying Rs. 5000/-?

Bal Bharti Public School (most preferred i think fees structure is affordable & over all a good environment)

BGS International Public School (one of the best school for value education) i will prefer my child get selected here GOD BLESS HIM

St. Gergorios Pree Primary School (one of the best christian minority school wish i was born a christian)

DPS Dwarka - draw was clean and clear. good job done DPS. just a few things for next year for them or other schools :

for online application built in a system of checking child DOB and Parent name together - this will eliminate multiple application.

I felt today if I would have mentioned my daughter name as first name last name, Last Name first Name, only first name - probably could have got three chits in draw.

bit nothing against DPS- got transparent draw.

i don't of others........ i will prefer my son to be part of MT CARMEL SCHOOL...... one the old established institution..... honestly i tried admission in class V in MT CARMEL SCHOOL, Anand Niketan in the year 1983. but could  not make it... anyway thats old story....... if my son make it....... i will be the most happiest person
