Many schools (~16 schools) in dwartka are starting form distribution from  tomorrow 20 dec.

@Vibha. Check on monday for the admission forms. Almost all schools will open on monday if there is no objection from DOE or court

School is only upto class 8th. Offering admission on first cum first basis. Looks very expensive also.

first child/girl child- some schools like The indian heights just want a written declaration from both the parents, some schools want a affidavit on a stamp paper- you can get that from Dwarka court in sec 10.

some schools also want a medical certificate, you can get this from your doc, on his letterhead(which would ve doc's registration no)

Dwarka international wants a family pic. other schools ask for separate passport size pic of father mother and child.  

Can some one suggest is there is any specific way to calculate the distance? Or How the distance is calculated from home/locality to school. Is it mention at the school or one need to calculate it by treading the road to it?

google map can be used to measure distance

Out of some 10 schools i visited, only one wanted a number(in kms), others just give you a bracket{0-8,8-12 etc}.

if you have further doubt ask those specific schools.

Thanks a ton, yeah I am using Google Map only. I got confused as RD Rajpal had air distance circle as a parameter of 10 KMs. I was wondering if that is the case with every school or road distance will matter.

the documents mentioned here are required at the time of submission. 

In a general context an affidavit is always submitted original. 

but SVIS sec is asking for 'attach a attested photo copy of affidavit, and show the original at the time of admission.

i am planing to call other schools on Monday to ask- if we can attach photo copies of affidavits & medical certificates. 

I think court notary will charge about Rs100 for one affidavit. it will get a bit expensive to get one for each schools(two in some schools, if you ve a daughter).

We went to Presidium today - while it is expensive, the plus points are how they teach, how they inculcate habbits in the child, the kind of exposure the child gets and am sure that they will be able to ramp up by the time kids in current session reach upto class 8th. 

Yes, they are EXPENSIVE - almost 1.8L per annum is expected expense.

Its all an individual family choice on how much we can afford.

I suggest don't go with presidium right now, yes it is good school & expensive, but they want 25000/ Rs now, and rest of money by Jan end. Remember final list of all schools will be out by Feb 05 and may delay if supreme court hold the decision, on the other hand if you are 100 % sure to take admission in Presidium only go for it.

Many people think if they are getting admission in any of the schools, its not a good one compare to the one in which they are not getting admission, this is not correct, remember we always want things that are not in our hand and take less care which are in our reach.

So, fill all the forms and than decide based on school distance and your research. Also, take pledge not to give any form of donation as if a school is asking for money it will not be a good one morally  considering the fees is already so high in all the schools.

I went to a doctor and he is asking for Rs 500/- for medical certificate...any other option?

Medical information: Is your child inoculated ? (if Yes, Please attach relevant Certificate issued by the Doctor): YES/NO

What should be the answer?

The answer is Yes, please attach all the vaccination details related to your child or take certificate from the doctor whom you went for vaccination or family doctor.

Are you sure about what they are offering is true and incorporate that qualities in our kids, i mean any student over there you met or parent you know


Also i attended a seminar in Mother's pride, janak puri about Presidium school, and they offering nursery and prep in Mother's pride it self with Presidium curriculum, which i nearer to my home.

@Lokesh's point is also right that we have to decide it till Dec end, before any school's final list is out.

I have spoken to one of my ex-colleague and one other parent. Their children are studying in Presidium for last 2-3 years and they are pretty happy about it.

Incidentally, i also know one person, who is one of the content developers (Curry Makers as they call) and she is also quite "Gung-ho" about the teaching method.

Although, i feel and haven't verified yet, good schools like Maxfort, Nirmal Bhartia, ITL etc must be doing that in a more subtle manner and covering 80-90% aspects (styles) what Presidium talks about. the challenge definitely is at what costs-to what level and synergies in between. Also got an impression that their student-teacher ratio is one of the best and hence adds additional layer.

In case anyone here in this forum has more insights - Will be very happy to hear and understand.

Dear, Schools are asking for latest electricity bill. I have got the residence registered in my name from previous owner (2 years back), but did not get the name changed in electricity bill.

Can I attach latest bill (with previous owner name) & Registry copy in my name from previous owner?
