@Priya i contradict with u. SGS don't hav ground at all even in dwarka also where as JM has small ground.

Vipin, you are rite. It's just that there in Dwarka since they have an option to use many playgrounds but here in Janak Puri its not like that.
Moreover a lot of people send their kids to this school coz of brand name only even if they are not happy later.

@ Vipin, Priya. Did you mean there is not at all play ground in SGS Dwarka . What about the place at the back of building. I have not seen the school from inside  but I was assuming there is a sufficient play ground at the back. I was planning for MQ seat there but as per your feedbacks I again have to think about it...

Sandeep, at the back of the building a very small area does exist.
One of my very close has her daughter in class 12th in that school now and when I asked them for this so they said they were since beginning focused on academics and especially medical so they were never in favour of playground or other activities.
for girls, someone can still think but boys, I think most dad's want them to be good in sports too.

for nursery and kg where students usually spend their most of the time with playing thru many things a play ground and open area is very much needed which is not there in Janak Puri, I know coz its just across the road of my home.

I do agree with you Priya. for kids play ground is must.

@ Ruchi-  as priya has pointed out. I ve put my daughter in Basava. I ve heard good feed back about the school from my friend and also from this forum. 

I was satisfied with the infrastructure and values of the school when i visited. 

@ Sandeep, SGS Janakpuri, the school is built inside the church upper floor.  I would like to know the demand of school for management quota.

You may visit St Gregorious Dwarka branch and meet the chairmn and principal for MQ seart, wjen i went for admission on 5th Feb i hv seent parents secured the MQ seats and probably they asked around 40-70k as you negotiate wth them, they are not money minded people, infact chairmn and principale was interacting with each and every parents before the admission formalities

Praveen, it all depends on your preferences.
people here told me too BGS is better than Sachdeva but as per my convenience I found Sachdeva far better than BGS.

I am going ahead with Sachdeva only coz of many reasons but at the same time I always say these are person's own preferences. I found infrastructure was far better in sachdeva than BGS and even ECA was more there than BGS.
Basava has ECA too but you should personally visit and check everything even restrooms coz kids are too prone to develop infections from there especially.

@ praveen - for me basava is better than Sachdeva global. But as priya said you must visit the school and make a decision.

Did you visit the St Gregorious for MQ seat ??? AS School is closing the admission on 28th Feb'2015

Hi everyone...I have read the discussion about St. gregorious and some people believing its not money minded...My son got through admission in this school last year (confirmed alumni seat and no MQ seats were allowed last year). During the interaction with the chairman and the father (principal), they asked us how much could we pay for the development of the church...they had so-called "packages" starting from 25 k to 50 k i think (dont remember accurately). And for the infrastructure...i was not at all impressed by the same and decided not to go ahead with his admission there. Though i didn't have any other option in hand at that time....

Your son is still in the same school? How do you rate academics and ECA in this school?

@ Priya...after the interaction with the principal and personally seeing the infrastructure, I didnt proceed with the admission in that school. One major reason for opting out was that I also heard the pressure of the studies is too much on the kids and i didnt want my child to be overburdened.

thanks for concern. I had not visited the school because I blocked the Adarsh Public School, Vikas Puri for MQ and I paid the fees there.  and right now after getting the reviews (Shelka), I am confused to go there or not. 

@ Priya - My nephew did his nursery from this st. gregorios 3-4 years back. He changed the school after that as the burden of studies (in nursery itself) was too much compared to very less co-curricular activities.

very true Shelka, I also know coz its too near to my home that they pressurize a lot even in kindergartens :(

Rajni, out of these 4 trust me Sachdeva is better though SRW is same management but not upto 12th.
IH is also good if its close to your home.
Maxfort is not good, honestly than these few as they have earned a name from Rohini branch.

@Vaanya- st. francis is a good, much sought after school. Focus is on academics. Low fees.
