Will somebody explain what is the connection between job transfer and school admissions? What I find is that most people are misusing these points under the 'transfer' head to gain admission after submitting fake and forged certificates. Time has come when we all parents should unite against this malpractice. I would request the website moderators to suggest the right course of action before Delhi admissions begin.
Yes Akshat , Even some schools are giving 20- 25 points for " Is your job transferable" but Schools like dps gives 5 or 10 points if you have been transferred in last one year with documentary proof and people do get forged documents.
The idea originated as people coming from outside delhi wont have sibling points and most of them might not have even alumni points. but it is being misused ,by schools itself where they have changed the definition only by replacing it by "IS YOUR JOB TRANFERABLE " IRRESPECTIVE OF THE FACT WHETHER THE PERSON WOULD BE TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE DELHI IN HIS LIFE TIME OR NOT.
@Sakshi: The discrimination begins when we introduce points under categories like 'transfer' , 'alumni' , 'divorcee', 'sibling', 'first child', 'girl child'. There is absolutely no connection between these categories and nursery admissions. We should ask ourselves a simple question -- Why should these categories get special status? Are they disadvantaged in any way (like physically handicapped)? Is there any school which denies you admission just because you are a divorcee or transferred from outside Delhi? The only category relevant is the 'area' category because it is the proximity to the school which shapes a child's future in a certain way.
I am told that the age as on 31st March 2013 for the child for whom nursery admissions is sought should be three years. But in my case my child will be 4yrs. and 20 days on 31st March 2013. In that case will he be eligible for nursery admissions or not. Please let me know the position so that we can plan accordingly.
Please go to the authority which issued the certificate. Usually, the schools ask for a certificate which has name on it. The process for those born in Delhi is simple and takes around three-four days. Go to the MCD office where the certificate was issued and fill in the relevant form. You can get as many copies of the certificate as you want.
@Priyanka,Some School ask name printed on B.C. So take you old B.C and get the name printed(you need to submit old one and get 10 copies for future use at nominal cost)
