my focus is to get admission in any of the affordable schools (i.e. fees ranging from 2800-4000) which can impart a good academic & over all self-development under the umbrella of affordability

i am more worried on seeing the list of DPS, vasant kunj, http://www.dpsvasantkunj.com/pdf/NurAdmn-2014/pointwise%20-2014.pdf

it would be same for other schools also - children who are getting 70 points are having less chances

  • dharm k sharma

this year everything is messed up....i read an article which says this year for one seat in nursery....schools got 76 application....

    @abc..good job abc...i couldn't touch even 22....

  • manjari luthra

    I did 19 only :( I am worried.
  • dharm k sharma

it all started on january 21....collecting the forms..then filling up the forms.....submission of the forms in the school.....even got pulled up from my supervisor in office for taking too many leaves....coming late to office....etc....now its like....out of 17 schools i have applied for my 4 year old daughter....7 have/will put her application on hold as they have upper age limit.....but they didn't mentioned that anywhere while i was applying....neither they mentioned it on their forms.....this is bullshit.....

  • nayha bhola

mine is 16 , what to say? hona to ek meh hi hai ,,, still im shaking,,, true beggars cant be choosers !
  • Raman Singh

Very True @Nayha. The situation looks grim because of the total applications is actually huge. But if you consider 15-20 applications per child, then things start to look much better. It is only DPS that is giving full visibility and it is top priority for most parents. Assume all or most tfr cases (300+ in each region) get admissions in DPS, then rest of the schools will be normal.

@Dharm - Did you try to your daughter's admission last year ? Just out of curiosity.

  • dharm k sharma

very right nayha hona to ek main he hai but if schools follow the same......then ek main bhi nai hoga....i think yahan to mera pura case he kharab hai.....

  • dharm k sharma

@Raman, yes i did try last year....but didn't got the seat so continued with her present school

  • nayha bhola

i wonder, the schools that are new and does nt have an alumuni pts how do they do justice.
like apeejay pitampura was estb in 90's so how do they adjust 5 pts of alumuni , or the benifit is given to neighbourhood ones..... ???
  • Raman Singh

If there are not enough 75 pointers, then draw would be for 70 pointers . Automatically the benefit is given to 0-8 Km neighborhood

  • shobhit kaushik

I heard SS MOTA SINGH JANAKPURI is open for the admission from 6 feb is it true?

  • rvg

went to VGS rohini for verification of documents yesterday. their fee is 9300 pm and transport fee is from 2000-2400. sapling's 7600 look musch less in comparison now.

  • Sunny Chadha

Friends..am abt to go to Saplings in an hour-will share the experience soon

  • sunmeet

Hi friends, I don't understand 1 thing. Every school is supposed to show their list on 28feb, I think most schools are following it.... Just imagine the choas it will create because everybody would be curious to know the result... There will be long lines for the same and it will take hours to go from 1 school to another... Parking and traffic would also be a major problem.... Most of the schools I have asked said the list will not be online and only on the notice board... It would be a difficuilt situation for us... I think schools should do something abt it....
  • Gaurav Grover

Apart from few schools near by I am hoping and relying on AdmissionNursery to do that job for us? Moderators can comment here, other thing we can do is lets get our camera phones there take a pic of the shortlisted candidates and post here in the group(if it is not already posted by someone) and help each other?

  • Sonalini Singh

    @gaurav...even I am relying completely on AN.com.
  • shelka

It should be made mandatory for all the schools to publish their lists online on their websites.....!

  • Neetika Taneja

Yes, they should atleast be putting the list online so that we can check it there...it will be really difficult running around various schools to check their lists!

  • Manish Ochani

DPS Dwarka shortlisted candidates is out on the website.Out of 4000, around 170 shortlisted .

  • Rohit Dhingra

Going through the points at DPS Dwarka makes me realize..... how important siblings are.... & if you are a single parent ensure you get a girl to have an edge....

  • eliza jain

Sunny chadha . Plz share ur exp.thanks

    Regards

    Eliza

  • Sonalini Singh

Quite worried after going through the dps dwarka's list....70 points walon ka Kya hoga is saal kuch samajh nai aaraha. :(
  • eliza jain

Views abt sappling. Howz d schoo

  • Mazel Tov

did u guys check the anomalies ??? check row 120 and 126. same son, same father.. but two rows !!! went through rest of records as well. wondering how many twins we have !!! every page has one record !!! other cases include different surnames for ward and father... rare but suspect...

  • abc

even thou my son scored 70 & i just stay opposite 100 meter to DPS, dwarka at sector-3 not even able to get shortlisted........ this way children who are getting 70 points will never been able to shortlisted......... i think 5 points on transfer & alumni should be banned........ also only 10 point so be allotted to sibling

  • Sonalini Singh

Will my son get admission anywhere this year if all schools put up their lists like this? Admissions have become a nightmare now....
  • Kusum Sachdeva

70 points is equivalent to zero now, no scope for us

  • Sunny Chadha

@Eliza - It was basically documents verification, the school have state of the art infrastructure.

    Tution fees - 7645/month

    Dec Fee - 550/month

    Annual - 12000

Total amt at time of admission - 36585

    Transport - 2500/3000

  • Sunny Chadha

Guys pls help..am little confused. For DPS Dwarka, I can see my daughters name in total registered applicants and list of girl child. However, her name is not mentioned with regards to shortlisted applicants for verification of documents. Am assuming that since out total points was 70-we didn't get through.

Further, if this is the case - I seriously doubt that anyone with 70 points get admission this year.

  • manjari luthra

@sunny: u r right. Ur daughter is not shortlisted because all seats hav been filled by 75 and above pointers. Your only hope is the girls draw. Same is the case with me at dps rohini.
  • Sunny Chadha

@Sakshi - pls share some light, am really curious. There are about 172 shortlisted applicants for verification of docs. So, what happen to applicants with 70 points.

Also, what about the girls quota and when does the draw happens for that?

  • Sunny Chadha

    @Manjari - Thanks aton!

Any idea about the dates of draw for girls quota?

  • manjari luthra

@ sunny: For dps rohini, its on 12th feb 2:30 pm. Check dps dwarka's website.
  • Sunny Chadha

    Thanks Manjiri..its Feb 13th!

  • sarabjeet singh

In lottery system our number not come in schools govt tell what parents do to admits for children
  • sarabjeet singh

    Stupid guidelines
  • nayha bhola

sarabjeet ji ls dont panick. if 1 applies in 16 schs and he secures seat in one sch, automatically u have chance in othrr 15 svhs.
if in dps dwarka 100 seats are fillef, then 1500 seats are vacant in other schs, so 70 pts will be considered,
whats bothering is ..... why parents with70 pts not called for verification.
  • Govind

seems there is no hope now, was just analysing the dps list of registeration, more than 4000 applications, 3800 with 70 marks, 200 applicants are with more than 70 marks, leaves 5-10 seats for draw for 3800 applicants..really feel pity and wonder as if we are left to mercy of these faulty guidelines where fake transfer cases are getting admissions. two three things come to my mind..either DOE comes out with strict scrutiny guidelines for transfer cases or do away with this marks. or we parents come together to hold a protest if not heard by LG/CM/DOE..imagine 4000 kids are looking for handful of seats in dwarka/janakpuri despite of so many schools there.

  • Raman Singh

@Nayha  - 70 pointers are not called for verification, as the total seats are 130 and people with 75 or moer points are 172. So, no point verifying documents until the first 172 have been verified.

If out of 172 , finally 150 are cleared for admissions; then 75 pointers will have a lottery for remaining seats (after 90 pointers have cleared) .

If total seats filled is lower than 130 , then there will be a draw for 70 pointers and verification for only the selected candidates.

School can not verify 4000 applicants when they want to admit only 130

  • dharm k sharma

@Sunny...Same with me..but in my case upper age limit is the reason for not being short listed....School is following strict DOE guide lines for upper age limit...probably DOE run by the school....they didnt mentioned that earlier when process for filling forms was going on....strange....if any one know what was the procdure for last year for poeploe gettnig transfer to delhi....its strange large number of seats have gone to people who have 5 points for transfer.....i doubt how correct is this.....

One good news. I understand from another parent who was present for verification that DPS VV and EOK are doing a tremendous verification with respective Headmistresses themselves going through all documents and asking for residence proof, tax papers, etc. kudos to them and to all the efforts of Sumit and his team. It's not being done merely as a procedure, it's strong checking.
  • nayha bhola

thats true raman ji but what im trying to say here is .... once seats are filled in dps, oppurtunities in other schools will come,,
may be not as good as dps ,, but 70 pts shall be considered.
  • Manvinder Singh

DPS Dwarka has come with its list of selected applicants for document verification...surprising more than 60% applicants of the total 105 are of transfer cases....& the rest of sibling...not even a single applicant with 70 points making to the selection...

People of delhi would not be making to the admissions but outsiders from other states will take our child seats....isnt it just crap....

& also believe that people in NCR have applied under transfer or most of the documents submitted in transfer cases would not be genuine....

  • Raman Singh

@ Nayha , agreed. But I feel it is too late for the guidelines to be changed. It is not hat schools other than DPS are not good. So, all is not lost.

  • dharm k sharma

DPS Dwarka Out of 172 shortlisted applicants check these...D-1415-0504 Harshiv S/0 Nitin Malhotra,D-14150541 Harshiv again Nitin Malhotra,D-1415- 0570 Harshiv S/O Nitin Malhotra / D-1415-3801 Tushita Karoli D/O Abhishek Karoli D-1415-3802 Tushita Karoli D/O Abhishek Karolia

  • Sunny Chadha

It has started to getting worse, I don't see my name.

Guess management quota was better-atleast u can pull some strings.

    70 points are just nonsense.

  • nayha bhola

it seems we are here to hog on left overs !!
whats the fun in 70 pts when they are'nt considered at all !!
  • Sonalini Singh

How is the school St. Thomas Dwarka?
