In my view, points for sibling make sense even through I am struggling for admission of my first child as it is very difficult to manage if your children are studying in different schools. Points for Transfer & Alumni are non-sense.

We all parents r getting selfish here.... shameful.... and schools taking advantage of this situation

Don't take it too seriously as this is second waiting list and chances of getting admission for any body from this list are negligible...

only different points for different neighbourhood makes sense in delhi. e.g. 70 points for 0-3 km, 50 points for 3-5 km , 30 for 5-8 km . otherwise schools should be allowed 2 sessions (morning and evening batch). going by the current scenario, all the seats will be filled by siblings in another 10 yrears.

@rvg - staggered distance slabs would make sense only if there was even distribution of good schools in Delhi. Today, there are areas where many good schools exist, and there are areas where no good schools are present within 0-3 km.

There is no justification :-) Even i dont think it should be applicable

Has anybody been to Queens valley school today? Draw of lots for Nursery admission in General category was today.

Today, I just called at school (Queens Vally), They confirmed draw is happend today only.Howz that possible without intimating parents..Draw is happend today ?

Queens Valley had sent information regarding draw of lots. I called them today and they said the list will be out on 28th Feb. All those whose name came out today in draw of lots, will get a call from school.

Even I also called and they are saying you could call tommrow between 9 Am - 1 PM to get to know about drwa result.?

Anyone knows the gd goenka dwarka and persidium fee structure? Is it really more that 2 lac per annum?

Goenka is 15K / Month with transport, which itself makes it 1.8 Lac / Annum. then you have the misc (books, uniforms, etc.)

@Mukesh, we went for document verification. There is no demand or anything it was a routine process, even you can go w/o your child for a 10 minutes verification and school visit.

@karan richmondd is nowhere near hans raj. if you have a choice go for hans raj only, no second thoughts.

Its quiet saddening to say but I guess, its money walks and talks. No matter, how hard we try to eliminate malpractices-they have their roots deep into our systems.

I am not taking away the efforts by the entire team of nursery admission but at the end of the day-I don't have admission for my girl(thanks 70 points) and feel helpless about it.
