Wondering if any one in the forum did get to meet the principal at St Francis last week? School had called few parents and met each of them

  • Rajat Bagchi

Did see a few parents waiting for a meeting with the principal but not sure of the agenda.

  • Gautam Bagga

@ Rajat: when did you see them? I mean do you recollect the date? were you there too?

  • Rajat Bagchi

    13th of March

  • Gautam Bagga

I was there on 11th March....

Do you have any information on whether they have shortlisted names basis their interaction?

  • Rajat Bagchi

No Idea...I had gone for some other work...

  • Geetika Mahajan

CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME WITH, IS PRESIDIUM IS A CONVENT SCHOOL OR NOT? REALLY NEED YOUR FEEDBACK

  • Rajat Bagchi

Presidium is the senior branch of Mothers Pride- not a convent school to my knowledge...into money making business.

  • Gautam Bagga

Presidium reviews are not so good...

  • Gautam Bagga

Rajat correctly said....most of these schools simply exist to make money

  • vaanya

All the parents who took their kids admission in ST Gregarious..please revert for any further information regarding paresnts'orientation and start date of new session???

  • Geetika Mahajan

MY SON'S NAME DIDNT CAME IN ANY SCHOOL LIST.. PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THAT CASE? AS HE IS ALREADY STUDYING IN MOTHER'S PRIDE PLAY SCHOOL AND THEY ARE UPGRADING HIM TO PRESIDIUM

  • Gautam Bagga

Any parent got their ward admitted in Sadhu Vaswani school ?

  • Rajat Bagchi

In that case go for it and in the meanwhile keep an eye out for other schools....many schools still have few seats vacant. You can try Sachdeva global, RD Rajpal. Keep your option open for next year also for admission into KG.

  • Geetika Mahajan

    OK.. Thanks Rajat..

  • psNursery

Don't go for NE saplings. Some teachers are not caring and the students strength are >= 50 in a single class. No bench for kids in a class. No smart classes using lcd. Meals come from outside. After prep your child will go to saraswati early learning center or j-block rajouri garden. If you are in punjab bagh or paschim Vihar area then go shri ram global pre-school punjabi bagh or saplings paschim Vihar
  • Nitin

@Gautam bagga - did you have interaction with st. francis on 11th.. was it an interview etc ? i heard that they have been calling some parents..

  • Tarun Chugh

was very surprised by views that saplings and sri ram punjabi bagh whose reviews to me are disappointing and both are into money business in sri ram staff alwaz changing and yes in ne saplings no smart classes but they make very strong base of child their only drawback is that they later on keep on charging small amounts for many things other than school is fine....

  • Gautam Bagga

@ Nitin: Yes we had gone there on 11th and met principal...meeting went on for about 10 minutes. From then till date I am yet to hear from the school...on 11th there were about 8-10 families who were called for interaction...I have no idea if school had called families before and after 11th? Do you have any idea if they have started calling parents for nursery admission based on interaction they had 2 weeks back?

  • Nitin

No Gautam.. Had called up the school couple of days back to enquire about admissions.. they said all seats have been filled and there is no vacancy.have not heard that anybody has got a call recently.

  • Gautam Bagga

That reception has been saying so even before we met principal....its one single reply they are saying to every caller. Imagine if they would say that yes vacancies are there then school would be flooded with walk-ins. I went there today too but got same response that no seats available....if there are no seats available then they would not have called the parents for interaction.

  • Nitin

Completely agree with you Gautam. However, we are helpless in this situation.. :( unless there is a way to find out if they are calling parents or have seats left..the session is just couple of weeks away, are you aware if they have orientation etc. starting next week ?

  • Rajat Bagchi

@Nitin- Session is starting from 7th of April.

  • Gautam Bagga

dont know about orientation for st francis....but today when I went, school was flooded with parents collecting school books. I interacted with few families to find out if they were collecting books for nursery but they were there for upper classes e.g. KG, class 1st etc . Did you also go and met principal on 11th or any other day? I am sure if they are yet to decide for some left over vacancies(which I am 100% sure they have, each school retain some seats for last minute)...

  • Gautam Bagga

Rajat,,,,where have you got your child admitted?

  • Rajat Bagchi

    SFS...

  • Rajat Bagchi

Nursery books and uniform were collected last week 13th onwards...

  • Gautam Bagga

congrats....lucky you. was it through general process, if I may ask?

  • Nitin

ya..i am sure that there would be vacancies.. i didnt get any opportunity to interact yet..trying to get an appointment...

  • Rajat Bagchi

Nothing hidden Gautam...I am an Alumini and withing 3 KMS so scored well on distance but I also know cases were parents despite being an alumni + having a sibling studying could not make through due to the distance factor.

  • Gautam Bagga

thanks Rajat for the reply....Btw tomorrow I am attending orientation in Sadhu Vaswani School, Shanti Nikentan(do you have any review on this school?)

  • Rajat Bagchi

    No Idea about this school...

  • Gautam Bagga

    its only girl school

  • akhil sharma

Gautam its a very nice school. Congratulations.
  • Rajat Bagchi

where do you stay? have you tried Queens Valley in Dwarka? Its also a all girls school and good. Have got my daughter admitted here prior to SFS. If this is the old Sadhu Vaswani then it has good reviews.

  • Nitin

Reg. SFS - considering that the ones admitted have already collected books etc.. wont be surprised if they call folks even after the session starts 1st or 2nd week of april..... :)

  • akhil sharma

I stay in central Delhi, no idea about the dwarka.
  • Gautam Bagga

    Thanks Akhil....

Rajat: I stay in Subhash Nagar....i didnt try for Queens valley....People whom I have spoken too in general about this girls school have all praised it overall.

  • Rajat Bagchi

@Gautam if you are getting in Sadhu Vaswani then go for it otherwise you can give a call  or better write an application to the principal of Queens Valley and check for any last minute seats...

  • jyoti pokhariyal

Friends, urgently need yr advice.Gotta call for admission in Mater Dei school.Have to take admission by tomorrow.Have already taken admission in The Air force school(TAFS).Which one should i go with?

  • Gautam Bagga

TAFS is much better I guess

  • jyoti pokhariyal

    Thanks Gautam

  • psNursery

@Tarun chugh - strong base wise saplings pv is the prefer one, they are slow as compared to other schools but make the concepts clear to the kids while in NE saplings they start teaching very fast from prep class and from class 1 they start giving lot of homework. And NE saplings is not recognized and after prep kids will go to saraswati or j-block rajouri garden which is also not recognized, only the new era mayapuri is recognized. While in saplings pv kids will go to bhatnagar international bhera enclave from class 1. If you take the review of NE saplings of existing parents they are not satisfied.
  • jatin chattwal

Pls review kr mangalam school vikaspuri
  • Rajat Bagchi

Just for everyone information...Queens Valley has refunded the fees paid by us (after deducting only ONE Month's tuition fees) even when the time period was more than one month. Good to know that some schools are doing things ethically.

  • geeta bisht

how is Happy Model School ?

  • Priya

Geeta, Happy Model is not so good school. Mira and Sumer Mal are far better than it.

  • Rajat Bagchi

Happy Model is a school to avoid!
