@Shewta.....thanks for the concern & yes the result is positive in vbps......but the scenario is that the last date for submission of fee in vbps is 29.09.12 till 2.30 pm.......my interaction in somerville is on 28.09.2012....dont know about the result declaration.......

@Ella - as we were working parents, who takes care of the child, a little background check of parents schooling, child is given some dummy fruits,veggies,animals to recognise, could not hear much what child was asked, but heard last question clearly that what did you have in breakfast?

@Rituparna and @ Jiya - I also got a call from Somerville board number but missed the call. Later verified the number from thier website. When have you been asked to appear for further processing? It appears I will have to go to school tomorrow morning as now they have closed. please confirm

@Tamal - Yes.. I called back but guard picked up and said its closed.I am planning to go there in morning now..

we had our interaction yesterday morning and got the call for admission an hour ago..feeling relieved after a stressful 30-35 days. Although we have the choice of VBPS as well but we are going with Somerville....Thanks again to AN and all who helped us  in making it.......

Our child is through with Somerville & other we applied. We are more inclined towards Somerville.

What is your opinion about Somerville & Amity?   

Hi,

We reside in an Appartment in Sec-62 Noida and were out on last Sunday [Sept 23, 2012].  Is it possible that the courier guy came up & since we were not there he instead of leaving the courier with the security guard at the main gate took that away with himself. Fellow members who live in Sec-62 can share their experience and let us know if this is a valid scenario or not.

Please suggest what should be done in such a scenario.

@Neha, you may ask the security guard about it. Ours also came when we were out and the security guard received the letter. Hope that helps.....

Gone to Somerville to collect admission form    1. Go to Room No 01 ( 28-09-12 form collection time 8:am to 10:am)    2. Collect Form  3. 2 DDs required  in favour of " SOMERVILLE PREPARATORY SCHOOL, NOIDA" for rs 28000/- and "LOTT CAREY BAPIST MISSION IN INDIA"  for rs 20,000/-    4. fill the form ( mother n father signature required) 5. address-proof ( rent-agreement / Electricity bill)   6. DOB certificate attested.  7. submit the form ( 29-09-12 8:00 am to 10:30 am)

interaction was on wednesday.. and everything went very well.. God knows..

Same with us shweta.. principal maam seemed very satisfied.. we answered all questions well.. and my lil kiddo also answered all.. I remember her rhyme which she was reciting at the top of her lungs :)

We are going ahead with Somerville as finally I confirmed it this morning and collected admission form!

Long drawn process has finally come to an end today. We never thought it would be such a challenge- completed admission formalities for our daughter. We both would like to thank AN.com team & associated members which have been contributing- doing an excellent job. I would also like to thank my daughter's play school- Little pearls.

Special Thanks @Tamal @Bij @Latha @Sakhshi & AN Team. We believe now Somerville is The school which we wanted for her. Good luck to parents who are waiting. Don't loose hope - its matter of day you should be getting a confirmation call as I saw letters being prepared at the school office.

Letters?? does that mean for few they called up and for others they are going to send courier.

No one today has reported the call

From the responses on the forum, I believe no one has received the call today and remaining selected candidates will get courier.

Our Interaction was yesterday, went well. Still waiting for any confirmation....

Finally....the rat race is over....my ward selected in somerville.....didnt lost Rs 40,000 by a thin margin as last time for submitting the fee in vbps was 2.30 pm and got a call from SV at 2.00pm....no doubt going for somerville....thanks to AN.Com

Already submitted the fee in Apeejay and also got selected in somerville.

What to do...Please suggest.

@Tamal - We live in Sector 25 & my daughter attends day boarding too there after school. She got through all schools we applied - Somerville-N, Amity-N, Apeejay, KPS-N, VBPS  except DPS-N but we have taken admission Somerville after the feedback in the forum & other people we interacted with. Waiting time for result is really painful for parents. I believe results should be announced on one single day for all schools rather than distributing over a month time. This forum owner also has raised a voice earlier against it in favor of parents. 

After a loong time of tension nd pressure.....the race is over.....Finally got my son admitted in somerville noida....my top choice...would like to thank Nursery Admissions .com entire team.....thnx  lot

Congrats for DPS as well as Somerville. In the town there is more hype about DPS Brand. DPS admission is no doubt to be proud of your ward.DPS toilets were unhygienic when we visited for interaction, discipline was noticibly low.  wheras in Somerville it was hygienic all around, better diciplined, Prinicpal Mam very kind n sober during interaction. If you choose Somerville over DPS your peer group will get at ur nerves. you need to stand strong for your Somerville decision. Parents who choose Somerville over DPS shall have guts to take this daring decision. Bcos in a longer run what pays can't be brought on table right now. My personal preference is Somerville I love simplicity so does Somerville. My Boss's daughter is topper in XII this year. Students clear NTSC scholarship , Olympiad and win inter school competetion from Somerville.

We also get selected in Apeejay but didn't submit the fees. Got a call for DPS/Somerville/Amity same day 26th. Got call from Amity and somerville. FInally selected Somerville.

In ur case as u have already deposited fees in Apeejay, forget about Somerville. Be happy with your decision. Bcose there is very thin line between Amity/Apeejay/Somerville/DPS if evaluated by unbiased people.

Admission process in Somerville is on or its closed, as i didnt get any information after submitted form. i resides in sector - 19. Is there any hope??????
