Hi Guys, I am following up courier person for last 3 days, He told today the last lot will come tomorrow (5th Sep). I am from sector 20 and submitted the form on 26 Aug, can any one help if they got courier for this date of form submission. I am little nervous if they will call or not.

We live in 62 and hv recd the  interaction letter,in fact when I went to the courier off yesterday there was around 20-25 couriers for 62.

Better you should contact to courier office which is near by school boundary in sector 22 Noida on regular basis. normally but courier person do they will wait for 10-15 courier in area wise and delivery accordingly to save money.

which sector do you live ?

few pages back the contact number is shared, you can speak with them and ask for your letter. If it is there with them tell them to hold the same and you collect it yourself from them they are stationed near to the school only. As per my understanding the letters they have shared till date have interactions tomorrow. So if your letter is with them it means that you had to go for interaction tomorrow else need to wait for next week. I am following with them and other parents as well, so my understanding is they have shared the first lot of interactions and with the admissions taken up from first lot the balance seats they share the interaction letter in 2nd lot and then 3rd 4th untill they fill all seats.

Guys through with the interaction. Now keeping fingers crossed to hear something from the school.

We also attended the interaction today. Our turn came after one hour from schedule time. in the same room,one teacher was interacting with child. My son was asked to reciting the rhymes which he did nicely.Now waiting for the result.

@Kalyan - No document is needed for interaction. you have to submit 500 rs as the registration fee in Account dept on same day.

There was nothing much, after the registration fee we all waited there till the name is called by the teacher. Then they send us in principals room where there was principal as well as another teacher sitting. Principal started interacting with us and told my daughter to sit with the other teacher where she was talking to my daughter the principal kept us busy with asking my job profile my company, my roles responsibilities etc, education of my wife and other things. Then she asked what have you heard about Somerville ? When she finished with us in the mean time the other teacher asked my daughter her name & rhymes and few questions which she was not able to recall later on. Then principal asked my daughter to pick red square, yellow circle, identify where is beans and also asked to point out at carrot. Then they finished with us.

We had 6-7 minutes short interaction with principal while other teacher was interacting with my child.

Questions asked to us - Native place, job location, Play school name, how do we manage transportation to play school
Questions asked to child- rhymes, identification of animal, Color identification

As per my understanding, Final selection will be made based on child performance as I did not observe any special question. I would like to say interaction with parents is just to keep them engage so that child can freely interact with teacher. This is just my personal view. Although this is not easy to decode the algorithm of selection.

Is anyone aware of the last day of interaction & when will the selected candidates be informed?

guys... appeared for the somerville interaction yesterday... the interaction went fine... as ours was almost the last turn... principal asked us about native place and since how long we are settled in noida, our job profiles and companies we are working with. she asked how is somerville different from other schools and how discipline is important for kids. From my son they asked his name and whether he goes to school or not... which school and then asked him to identify some fruits... and rest he could not recall and tell us.... keeping my fingers crossed for the call...

Yes Pooja, its a one round one day process. Only the courier needs to be carried along, no other documents required.

Any idea guys.. by when the interactions will be over in somerville...and also for around 260 seats how many application have been shortlisted.

As per my knowledge if our kid gets selected then we will receive the call by afternoon today time might differ as per the interaction time. But as per this years exp and information they are taking one day in between so we might expect call latest by tomorrow afternoon.

You mentioned that ".... receive the call by afternoon today time". I do not think they call parents. Instead they communicate final result by courier. Please correct me if I am missing something.

This is as per the information from the parents.

They call about the selection of the student, as they give you two days to fill form and submit fees. They are not relying on courier service for this.

@Pawan: I may be wrong about last years, however, this year they are informing by a personal call. Mansi and Reena in the group have already received final selection calls from the school.

I asked to courier on Saturday , they said still more pkts from someville would come on Monday (i.e. Today ) so I am hopeful :-)

@Tanvi... I think just call up the school ... the reception people will confirm you if they are still in the process of sending the interaction letters. When last week i called them up. They confirmed that till Friday they were sending the interaction letters. Please confirm.
