I also faced the same issue I wanted to send my daughter to KPS, Sommerville or Cambridge but she got call from Indus Valley & Ramagya .

So I have submitted the fees of Indus Valley , can any body share the experience or perception about Indus valley ?

My opinion is: Go for VBS.

@Purnima, Based on my knowledge both the schools are very similar in terms of reputation, ecc, infra,academics, student teacher ratio & money wise. The major diff that I see is that VBPS starts @ 9 against KPS which starts @ 8, this 1 hr can matter a lot for a small kid. Also decide based on the distance from ur home.

The Circulars for stationary and orientation program can be collected from school I collected it today only.

16th March is the date of getting books and other items.

23rd March orientation program in which both parents are required to present.

Session will start from 6th April.Cricular from School for Orientation.

I am very much happy with the way my daughter is being treated in school. Apart from academics there is a lot of activities that school is offering to students, which allows them to learn a new thing every day and she is having new poem or dance or act to share with me every evening. Though it is only few days of school. She is learning her way and hope Sommerville meets my expectations. :)

Any body residing in sector 76 or nearby and whose ward is either in nursery or KG.Request you to let me know how are u planning to send your ward to school since school bus do not ply here

@Pooja -  I think 3 Km is just their prefered distance, the hard rule is that only noida residents can apply.

@Rakesh- nopes, I have heard they are very strict on this criteria.

I remember someone mentioning on this or a different forum that Somerville Noida bus comes to Vaishali which is in Ghaziabad and not in Noida so may be being a noida resident is also a preference.

I have applied for Somerville, Sec 22 Noida yesterday, I am currently staying in Indirapuram but moving to Sec 74 Noida next month, both the addresses are at 7 KM from the School, with distance being same and keeping in mind the requirements of address proof, I gave my Ghaziabad address while filling the form, today someone told me that they won't even consider the applications from Indirapuram/Ghaziabad, Is that true? If yes, is there is a possibility of changing the address on the form. I do have the allotment and Possession letter for my new address to be used as proof.

@Priyank: I think they u should either reapply with the Noida address or get it changed in the application already done. Coz there are high chances of your form being rejected.

Anyone who got Letters from Somerville noida Today from courier?

Not yet, but i have heard that usually somerville noida doesn't send invites to parents residing in sector 22 or sector 12, means very less possibility, don't know how much this thing is true. Else 29Aug was the last day of form submission so parents eligible may get there invite letters by this week.

We had interaction at somerville Noida today . Whole process took about 1 hour .

Interaction was with Principal . She asked few questions from us , like Why you wnat your kid to be at somerville . If both are working who takes care of child in absence of parents . Does you kid speaks in english . I told her she couldn't speak full sentences but she is building good vocabulary of english words . We are introducing small sentences . In parallel one teacher was interacting with my daughter , in the same room .She asked her name , school's name , She was also asked to recite a poem . identify colours , Fruits & vegetables .Then she was offered a chocolate and that's it . I am keeping my fingers crossed . Hoping for the best . All the best to other parents and kids .

I have just received courier , no call from school ,although courier guy called to check the adress before coming . I am not sure about others ,whether they got call also .

My daughter is 3 years and  months old .I also didn't received any email .

Also they informed that they will call us to inform about the result .They have not specified any date . But they said they might call while interviews are going on for others , in one or two weeks .

Hi Garima, I am pretty sure that your daughter will be trough based on my last years exp. If they called you and your kid responded pretty well and you answered the question why somerville?? then she is through.
