Hello everyone! Interactions in Somerville are going to start, so thought of sharing my experience a couple of years back. Parents and kids are called together. Child is made to sit behind the parents so our back is to the child and the teacher/ headmistress interacting with the child. Parents are made to interact with the Principal. In our case, apart from introduction and job details, she asked us why Somerville, which other schools have you applied/ been selected for, why do you prefer Somerville over them. We couldn't really hear or see our child's interaction, but our child told us that he was asked playschool, his teacher's name, rhymes, fruits and vegetables, and colours. After that the child is sent to the parents, where the Principal offers a chocolate. I guess the child is expected to say thank you. It was a pleasant experience overall.

Maybe. But the Age criteria was NOT less than 3 years on April 2019. Very sure my ward meets that :)
Why on earth can't they just put out a tentative list of candidates! Peace of mind for both the parties.

We had our interaction on 16th Aug 18 Thursday, any idea when can we expect for the final results.

@Deepika how was the interaction and what was asked from you and your kid. It will be helpful if you could share your experience.

We had interaction on 18th August. We met with Principal & she asked general questions like why somerville, how long you are staying in Noida, which play school child is going. Another teacher was siting n interacting with child, she was asking name, play school name,rhyme & who takes you to park. Also in the end they gave one chocolate to see if child will say thank you or not. The interaction was of around 7-10 min.

Our interaction was good, we are staying in Sec 72 and child age is 3.3.

Principal was asking us if we are on rent or have own house in Noida, who is taking care of child after you went to office, about his playschool.

From child she asked english and hindi poems, colors and even what he had in breakfast.

It really give an idea that age & distance are not only parameters. School have some other shorting rules too.

So still no update for any more interaction date except 16 & 18.
And no change in status of waiting parents.

I called school & they told that if u get sms/email in this week, then your child is selected else not.

Seems no final admission selection update till now on this portal for any child.

@Ravinder, i did not find any criteria as he is my only kid and we stay over rent at sector 72, and even i am working too.
