  • tripti srivastava

yuppppy got the congratulaions mail from DPS.

  • amit mehta

    congrats josh and tripti.....

  • Jitin HURIA

my opinion what amity has done in last 10 years dps has done in last 40 years , so if you see the growth its amity

  • amit mehta

my personal opinion DPS out of DPS and Amity. DPS Campus is too good... DPS may also be bringing about some more changes in years to come. Also saw some comments which said, Amity may transfer some noida students to Mayur Vihar post class I, though am not sure about correctness of the same. My son has also got through DPS and Amity.

  • Sumit Vohra (Webmaster)

    Dear Josh and Tripti

Heartiest Congratulations and God bless You All !!

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

My son has been selected in almost all schools we wanted ...DPSN, APEEJAY, AMITY, SOMMERVILLE AND VISHWA BHARTI PUBLIS SCHOOL.. and we (along with 2 of my close friends) have decided to put our kids in AMITY  after a lot of discussion and debate..what we felt was all these schools including DPSN are at equally good, of course personal choice can differ and generally differs but the main job starts after the admissions- how much time does parents devote for their kids is the single most important determinant of your kid's future...

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Congrats Dr Abhijit, What were the reasons for you choosing Amity over DPSN

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

@Neha,Both the kids should go to same school. But DPSN is  better than APJ.

  • Sumit Vohra (Webmaster)

    Dear Josh

As per feedback of parents and my close relatives ( who children are studying in Amity and DPSN)..i would have opted for DPS Noida . But the parameters might vary from individual to individual.

We neither follow surveys nor publish them on forum !!

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

@Neha i think the exact amount is mentioned in fas and apj group by many parents

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

Thanks Sakshi madam.. well.. the arguments and counter arguments went on and on :) .. I am lucky  in a sense that  a few of  close friends  are DPS Alumini and at present many of their kids are studying either at various  DPS including NOIDA as well as at AMITY... what we got to know from them  was that AMITY 's  infrastructure at  least marginally better in certain aspects..Academics comparable to any other school and it was these parents' personal opinion that their kids are full of self confidence which is I believe quite necessary these days... In fact I was tempted to go for DPSN initially as it it more near to my house(I stay in sector 25)..

  • Jitin HURIA

Dr.AbhijitKumar i really like your comment how much time we as parents spend with our child appreciate this for highliting it

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

May god bless everyone with which ever school they have chosen and all the best for coming years .

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

@Virendra, How old is SBS and what level it has.

We neither follow surveys nor publish them on forum (Mr Vohra just posted in this group only)

who judges the quality of teaching staff

how come top corporates come at no 1 position above amity or dpsn after entering noida within 2 years( just having preschool in south delhi)

How can 2 branches be at no 1 - shriram school delhi gurgaon both in all the parameters(can dps rkp or mathura road be at no 1 position for 3-4 yrs)

Schools who dont cooperative are not included .

i can go on and on on survey

LAST WHY ALL OF THEM COME NEAR ADMISSIONS TIME ONLY???

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

Sakshi madam ..we would also like to congratulate and convey our  deep gratitude to  you,  Mr. Sumit vohra and the entire AN team for guiding us during the entire period... However I can see that a lot of parents want to take out their kid from one school and admit their ward in a "BETTER" school.. and in the process the schools only refund a very small amount (PEANUTS I should say )... I think this forum has the potential to guide these parents also ,so that they can get FULL REFUND in such cases... As far as I know the various guidelines( from Courts and  respective education Boards to which they are affiliated) direct these schools for same in case the vacancy is filled by another student.. Inputs from your team will I believe help all the concerned parents!

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Dr Abhijit , All the cresit goes to Lathaji , Bij Sir And old/new parents for helping the community

I wish you all the very best and good wishes from core of  My heart.

  • Shishir Kumar

For next generation as parents we are giving more weight age to EQ development at childhood level rather than IQ. Schools are en-cashing big time  on these parameters. It's correct that with higher EQ one excel in life at after achieving their admission. In my opinion we should give equal weight age to IQ as it will ensure how our kids will achieve their admission. Just rewind your life and think what is most popular guy at our school time is doing?

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

@ Vijendra. Lathaji, and Sakhi madam... I also believe that rankings in most fields including  Industries such as automobiles( and EDUCATION) television channels etc.. are often biased and are used to influence perceptions of common people.. Having said that I also believe that every school has the right to beat ones'own trumpet'. as long as they are not false and misleading.. (I can see that  many schools have advertised on this website also !!) and here comes the role of forum like ADMISSION NURSERY where parents can interact with other parents including those who have had the experience a few years back.. At the same time moderators must also remain unbiased as well as well informed while giving their views!

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

    I second shirshir

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Dr abhijit i agree with you but if i get 50 inquires daily , which school to choose what is the last date ? and i have 3-4 options i will give honest option as per parents feedback ..like you cannot compare amity noida with amity vasundhara. see we are forced to give one answere which is very tough

Now you tell me how can we choose between holistic vs academic based school?

can we compare apple and oranges?

but parents are in a fix can we compare catholic schools with apj or amity or dps?

so here we go asper last 4-5 yrs of parents feedback ..my humble request to you

Go through one of our last year parents profile page and read his comments ( he did full reseach and i agree with his 90-95 % points)

This years some parents were planning to prefer khaitan over amity noida,so you tell me what we would have told them

see prashant sehgal comments on dps and amity

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

@ sakshi  Madam and Lathaji... I think   my comments  were misunderstood! At no point I said that moderators are Biased! It was only a piece of advice and caution from a well wisher... True! It is always about individual choices...otherwise the world would not have been so colorful...and we all would have ended wearing same clothes, speaking same language, tone and  dialect. Sorry ! I could not locate the said " research" in question  through the link.. but Well again my best wishes for u all  and KEEP IT UP..! Good night!

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Dr Abhijit , Your suggestions are always welcome :)

I hope you will come to foru ,whenever you are free to share your inputs .

  • Dr.AbhijitKumar

@ sakshi madam ! Sure ! The past 2 months were quite  an unique experience for me..at times stressful and agonizing ..at times funny and hilarious!( there are so many anecdotes I would like to share with u all someday !!)  BUT  tonight my heart goes out for those parents ho could not secure their kids admission in either a single school or the school of their choice ! My only advice for them ill be not to lose hope because I believe it is a case of man made scarcity.. in fact the total combined strength of these schools is much higher than the total number of applicants... so just wait and watch... no not fall prey to this nexus... DO NOT PAY ANY DONATION/CAPITATION FEES for BACKDOOR ENTRY ! It will be detrimental in future to all the  deserving parents !

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Dr Abhijit ,I concur with you and moreover so many new good decent schools have come in ncr every parent will get a seat.

In noida wehave many schools and if parents are not satisfied ,they can cab always give atry in senior classes.

I must say you are among very few parents who are concerened about others :)

  • Richa Agarwal

My daughter has got selected in dps and amity..please suggest which is a better choice ...i was trying to search for mr bij's comments about both these noida schools s but couldn't find them anywhere?
  • Richa Agarwal

Urgently need your feedback sakshi..becoz fee has to be deposited by 1st oct.
  • tripti srivastava

    Dear Moderators and Dr. Abhijit,

I would like to withdraw my son's admission from ApeeJay and have him admitted to DPS N . Can you please let us know , how much refund would be possible from Apee Jay. We had deposited Rs.74200 as per Ape Jay admission process. Need some guidance on this. Appreciate response from members.

  • Richa Agarwal

Thanks lathaji! We are also thinking to go ahead with dps noida.
  • kavya

I personally feel traditional schools are better than International school, The children are spoon feeded in later schools. The most imp thing in any kid is the development of critical thinking, analytics o survive in present competitive cirsumstances. DPS, APJ always help children develop these skills. even check the results of olympaid test DPS IS DPS.

  • anamika sinha

    @Richa

hi, ur decision is right to go ahead with DPSN.its definitely the best.My son has been there for last 3 years and his growth both in personality and academics has been great.the best thing is the teachers know every child's strength and weakness and they handle them accordingly.every child is given an oppurtunity and are encouraged to perform.very minimal homework ,no bhagam bhag for parents for projects etc. all the projects or theme based activities like healthy food etc. are done in the class.celebrations and functions are well organised and so ur child is never lost in the crowd but he/she is the face in the crowd.REST U HAVE TO EXPERIENCE.so defintely go forDPSN

  • anamika sinha

DEFINITELY DPSN.from my society so many kids go to amity noida.i have seen them doing so much of homework and so much of projects like rakhi making, making statues with news paper etc.some may say these are enhances creativity of kids.but is it really the kids who are doing it or we the parents always wanting to showcase the best idea about any project?I personally feel that be it homework or any creative ideas a child should be able to do themselves.this is what they teach in DPSN.my son always did his homework himself and he briefed me how he is going to make a rakhi or ravan in the class.so now can u see the difference?the teachers always encourages a child to perform,if you are the best u will definitely get the applause but even if u have participated in an event u will get applause just for participating.one day everyone has to be in the race to earn bread and butter...........BUT THESE ARE THE DAYS WHEN OUR CHILDREN CAN ENJOY THEIR LIFE.........JUST SEE THE NURSERY WING OF DPSN......ITS LIKE A KINGDOM OF DREAMS WITH A SMALL POOL AND A PARK .....SMALL WORLD JUST FOR NURSERY AND PREP.....LESS NO OF CHILDREN SO CHILDREN KNOW WHO ARE THEIR CLASSMATES FROM OTHER SECTIONS TOO......TEACHERS ALWAYS FULL OF ENERGY AND ALWAYS ENCOURAGING CHILDREN.............u know when i went for my son s admission someone told me all these and three years down the line have experienced this

  • Richa Agarwal

@anamika, thanks anamika for a very encouraging feedback. just one question ..which claass is ur child?
  • Jitin HURIA

    brijji, sumitji & sakshiji

is there a second list of DPSN also ??

  • anamika sinha

he is in class one.my daughter will join nursery in next session.we have completed the admission formalities last week.

  • Yogesh Tanwar

so, the debate abt the best school is never going to end.......

IF a school is above a minimum threshold, then it should be good enough for yr child. That's why I have been requesting for grading of schools, rather than a ranking.

Very often, it's not for the child's need that we want a particular school, but to satisfy our own egos. And that's why some of these schools are able to take the parents for a ride.

As parents, you are the biggest differentiating factor ensuring yr kid's success; not discounting the school's part though.

Just ensure that the school lies in the top quadrant, and THAT'S MORE THAN ENOUGH.

  • Ritu Surana

    @Nidhi- I m from sector 100 i guess it is close to sector-93

  • kavya

I stay in sec93A, I have seen children picking DPSN bus from here

  • Ritu Surana

    Anyone shifting to Sector-100 Lotus??

  • Ritu Surana

@Shradha - I dont have transport incharge number and dpsn didnt share any information regarding transport routes at the time of fees submission. they said they will brief everything during orientation program. We may shift their in march ,2013. I also want to avail school transport only.

  • Sakshi (Moderator)

Congrats Shradha and all the best .
