Dear Sakshi and fellow Parents i have also received mail from DPS Noida today morning for first interaction and my daughter is selected in Khaitan...really confused what to do??

my form no is 1047 and i filed up the form on 31st august and i have not received any mail till date and tried to contact school but no one picks up the call there and even no reply to the mails. dnt know what is the process that they are following last come first serv or what

Dear Parents, I am 500 mtrs away from DPS Noida.. and I am an IT professional.. and I have not got the mail from DPS Still.. my form number is 2051 it was submitted on 2nd Sep'2013.

i am really confused with their process..

There are parents who are still waiting for interaction call and same time DPSN is  announcing + results of interaction (lucky parents who got call for interaction and selected).

I guess, they should announce result in one go (as other schools does)..

@kush : Since you have paid fees in Amity , Are u still interested for DPS noida ??

I have already deposited fees in LVIS... and would go for a refund from them... Dont want to run after Amity for Refund now... 

In my view.. I always had Amity/DPS N and APJ at the same level... and other may not agree to it...

they have not provided any break-up on 70K. I even asked for it but they said it will be provided during orientation later next year in march.

In addition to that when u reach for fees deposition, they will first give u a form for money donation and ask u to contribute for their mission on underprivileged girl children and journal. I contributed the minimum i.e. 15K

Today I deposited fees in DPSN and I don't agree with ur observations.

Firstly they are not doing any lottery thing. Their first call is purely based on the qualifications and job profile of parents and final selection call on the basis of child's performance and parents interaction with principal.

Also, today i could see only two parents of sibling case out of 25 that attended the fees deposition session.

Also, today the parents who came for final fees deposition were informed by the teachers that you should feel proud that your wards have performed so well that they have been called in the first list. So, currently it is merit based only.

Mine is not case of alumni/sibling. I understand that they called us on basis of our credentials. On the day of interaction they appeared to be transparent as they interacted with my daughter in front of me and my daughter had answered 90% of the questions.

Thanks! well i opted out APJ due to lack of transport facility to sarita vihar and had not deposited fee there.

Lets not talk about criteria of selection here. And on a serious note - by lottery system "I do not mean to say a pure lottery system". Admission process has a lot of luck factors involved - at least for the first interaction.

I may be called for DPS N since I read somewhere that they will continue the mail till tuesday..

If you talk about Qualification, I guess I am pretty sure there might be a few who can challenge that.... I am not trying to talk  about my qualification at all here... And I even dont deny the fact that school should not give preference to Siblings and Alumini.. 

By Lottery system - I meant more of a Luck system... which yes includes Qualification and Background, Distance etc... I have no too much worried that I havent got a call from DPS as my son would be an Amitian now... Perhaps you took my comments too seriously.

I want to start a general topic for all parents who have feedback from other parents.

How much information do the parents have about the 1. Level 2. Type 3. Style - of syllabus in the Nursery/KG and 1st class... I want focus on both the academics "subject" part as well as extra curricular activities...

What so ever you have heard, please share here... Thanks a lot in advance..

no hard feeling and i'm not taking your comment very seriously. I pointed out what i have experienced. At the end of the day we parents always want our child to get into good school. Anyway congratulation for your ward selection at amity. 

To share with you I didn't get call from amity in first round even i stay very close to it and i was also very surprised. Now they have sent to me an interaction date of 30th sept. :)

Luck... Do you think Amity would have read all your answers that you wrote on the "so called exam" day... That is what my point is... Its like a luck system.. 

For DPS.. there were no answers that needed to be filled - which could have caused any elimination... other than your distance being too far from school, or your form entries do not match "DPS set standards"

Well.. that is my thought... 

muje to DPSN ke selection procedure pe hansi aati hai....why they call child wid parent. For nersery what they are r going to check in a child? if a child is shy in nature or dont feel easy in front of so much of people (crowd), how could they judge about his/her mental status or his/her intelligence? They are very small. 

Ye saari baaten jhuthin lagti hain....they know very well that at this age all kids are almost same as they are handling so many kids for so many years....

We had our DPSN Interaction today @ 8:15 AM

My Child started crying at the beginning, but at the end he performed well, answered  90% of the questions,

I have less hope of getting admission call from DPSN :(

My child anhad has been selected for admission , got letter today.

Anhad performed well during interaction although suffering from fever , cold and cough.
