    Hi Parents

    I had filled the form online for admission in DPS. My application status is "Under Process". When is it required to submit the Application fees, only when your child gets shortlisted ?  Is Aadhar card required for the kids as well later on ?

    1. You will be required to deposit the registration fee of Rs 1500/- during the interaction, which is post shortlisting. Your application status indicates that you will have to wait. The process is still going on.

    2. Aadhar card will be required for school admission. I suggest you apply for your child's aadhar in the meantime. The copy of enrollment letter will also work. This will be the case with any school.

    I am facing a problem that both DPS Noida and Khaitan has given us slot of interaction on same day with only 1 hr gape.  Please tell me the normal interaction duration in DPS Noida.

    Posting our DPS interaction session details here , so it can be useful :-
    Our time was at 9.30 at gate 3 .
    Around 9.35 they let us all , around 40 children and their parents inside the campus. We were guided to a multipurpose hall. We were all supposed to submit the documents in a line at the teachers desk. After that a second line for payment and a third line to collect questionnaire. Very clear guidance from the teachers around , they were very helpful and systematic.
    One parent was supposed to fill the questionnaire while the other parent could walk the child to the activity room , ( not a separate room , but a low height partition space ) The child was to be dropped off , the teacher took the child alone for colouring activity and then balancing activity. The parents were not called in as long as the child was comfortable with the teachers. If the child was not doing any activity or started to cry, one of the parents were called to sit beside the child. The teachers were very very friendly with the kids all throughout. The activities were - place the objects in the right place ( land , water , air ) , fruits and vegetables sorting , color recognition and matching etc. The teachers kept appreciating and motivating the child. It was not at all a pressure interaction not just for my kid but all kids around. Even for the kids who did not perform , the teachers only encouraged. After that , all parents were seated in a AV room ready to meet the principal. A group of 8 parents were called in ( alphabetical order of the child ) for principal's interaction. Principal ma'am introduced herself and asked all the parents to introduce themselves and their children and say a few words . That's all . She was also responding to parents words casually. She was very warm and nice to all parents. Then we were led outside and we're told that the results will be announced on the website on Monday.

    I had read and heard that the DPS interview is very cumbersome and harsh on kids because they are being judged. I would like to put it to all parents that , though I also don't like the fact that there is a child interaction , I have to give it to the school and teachers for handling it so well . The kid's comfort is under priority and it has to be appreciated.

    Thanks Navya for the detail insight of what happens during interaction...Otherwise it was so frightening to imagine how tough it would be for small kids to perform....could you please tell us what kind of questionnaire were asked? We are having our interaction on 23rd..Also in documets birth certificate needs to be attested by gazetted officer or self attested document will also do?

    Hey Garima ,
    So we were asked two questions in the questionnaire. 1. What are the three parenting principles you follow that you would recommend to other parents. 2 Are TV and computers a nuisance to children in today's world .
    Please go through their requirements sheet , AFAIK , I don't think they have mentioned any attestation. They only say - photocopy of birth certificate.

    @ Navya - my friend's daughter had her interaction today at 8:30. But his experience was completely different. He says there were 2 rooms. Maybe she went into a different room than your daughter's. What room number did your daughter go to, if you dont mind my asking?

    As I mentioned , the child is asked to go to the activity room ( low height partition rooms which you can peep into ) there are two such partitions , the teacher divides calls out names and allots the room number instantly. Both the rooms have similar activities.
