    @Manohar Bhiryani. St thomas last date is 11th Jan.

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Ranjan Kumar Jha. Last year it was there this year i didnt applied so dont know.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    yes, i think maxfort did ask for income, they already called us ans we met them last saturday.

    they are offering seats, you need to pay ~ Rs70,000.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @Ranjan

    Maxfort did not ask for parent's income in the form. I just checked it.

    If they are calling parents like this, there will not be any difference with schools offering seats on first cum first basis like SAM, JM etc.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    JMIS wanted the entire amount in cash, but Maxfort asked for DD/PO.

    but neither were willing to give any proof of admission/Receipt

    I didn't apply in SAM

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    I didn't apply on any of the schools on first cum first basis criteria.

    I feel those options will always remain open. Just hope not to be in that scenario

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    but later they will ask for donations, now they are asking for fees only.. last year a friend of ours didnt get in any school after applying is 22 schools,

    they later approached Maxfort through some contact and had to pay 80,000 extra as donation apart from fee.

    hoping it wouldn't come to that... but much of this is based on luck.

  • Ruchika Saxena

    I visited MBS today, they are offering direct admission if you pay them admission fees before 8th jan. they said they would go for lottery/point system after 8th jan for the remaining seats.

  • Bhuwan Joshi

    @parul same has happened with me when I filled the form for mount Carmel I went to school with registration number they have given me the print out and I had submitted the form..pls visit school
  • Rahul Seth

    @Meenakshi - When did you submitted the form?

  • Gaurav Gupta

    I have submitted forms with 15 schools in Dwarka. I reside in Dwarka only so I will get points for distance in most of them. I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it possible that we might not get shortlisted in any of them?

    2. If someone does not get shortlisted in first list, should we wait for second list or start exploring back channel efforts?

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    @ Gaurav-

    you might want to reconsider on applying to more schools, parents and experts from this forum encourage to apply to as many schools as possible.

    i know atleast 3 people who didnt get into any schools even after applying to 20+ schools. so not getting into any schools is a possibility.

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Guys

    I think Maxfort is good school, its in my top 10 list, I don't see anywhere in the form they ask for Annual package of ours. I m seeing comments like they are asking money for admission right now, I didn't find any such info from school administration after talking to them, please clarify if you experience the same.

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Gaurav

    Apply at least 25 schools in Dwarka.

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Shivshankari

    If you go in any school after not getting name in any of the schools list they will ask for money..

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Shilpi

    Sorry, I thought you were asking about nursery, for KG I think you should take admission immediately, other wise schools demands will in crease as time passes, because many last year parents will change school this year. Also please consider some other options as well like Indraprastha school, Venkateshwara etc..fees is bit high but worth.

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Meenakshi

    Strange for me, please refer my name also in Maxfort if possible.

  • Vipin Singh

    @ Shilpi can try in JMIS they hav few openings in kg
  • Lokesh Mehta

    This list prepared by Shivshnkari, Iam 100 % agree to it except for Maxfort & Indian heights, they deserve to be in category 'B'

    Thanks for preparing this, I thought to share it here as many parents are asking feedback about the schools after filling the forms.

    A
    DPS, Bal Bharti, VIS 10, MCS, SVIS, BGS

    B
    ITL,  Indraprastha,, RD Rajpal, NKB, NBS, Basava

    C
     modern convent, dwarka international, Indian Hts., Sachdeva Global, Queens Valley St. Thomas,JMIS  Maxfort

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Asha

    It depends, where you stay, if you are staying in Dwarka apply at least in 25 schools, if your residence is near by Dwarka please apply in 35-40 schools.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    @ lokesh

    I submitted form in maxfort on 24 the dec n received a call on 26th sto come for interaction. When me n my husband met them on 27th, they offered us seats if we pay ~rs 70000(fee, not donation ) by Dd/po, we'll have an assured seat. But they also said any written Proof of admission will be given only after 6th Jan.  - so that's the case with maxfort.

    I guess we have almost similar preference list our kids. That thread was started by Heidi. Thanks to her.

    I ve heard from my friends, after the draw/list display process is over, many schools start calling not-shortlisted candidates themselves for selling management seats.

  • Vipin Singh

    @ lokesh ji- acc to me maxfort & JMIS should be in cat b & nbs should be in cat c
    Rest of the list I agree also
  • Rahul Seth

    Dear All,

    What are the parameters by which this list is derived? looks to be more driven from pure academics and transparency in admission process. Will be keen to understand.

    Thanks in advance

  • Ruchika Saxena

    Is dwarka international a better school than delhi international?
  • Monika

    @Ranjan
    Rightly said that more forms = more chances of getting selected.

    Tommorow is the last date for most of the Dwarka schools for submitting the nursery forms. And, Rs 25/- is a meagre amount for applying in as many schools as possible. I also feel one needs to fill atleast 20 forms.

  • Nitin Nandrajog

    Applying in more schools by all parents just for the sake of applying without inclination will create a situation where the number of applications per school will increase extraordinary, most of the schools have already received 1500 to 2000 applications. This was the same scenario last year, which resulted in only a handful of kids getting admitted and multiple options for some while no option for others. Then the schools get a chance to negotiate for management seats as the "potential" demand highlighted by number of applications exceeds limited supply. The parents who were involved in 2010, 2011 admissions will vouch that most of them applied to a smaller shortlist of schools, averaging about 400- 500 applications per school thereby every kid having multiple options to choose from the shortlisted schools. Over the past year, the number of applications received per school have increased manifold due to uncertainty associated with nursery admission and the relaxation of the distance criteria. This creates an imbalance as the seats per school have not increases but average applications per school have increases disproportionately.
  • heidi

    @Nitin
    Do you think that if I fill forms in 5 schools instead of 20, my condition would be more favourable. We all know that no new schools have come up in Delhi in last 10 years and population has been increasing every year. Therefore, we must accept that it is something which is not in our hands.
  • Shrruty Varma

    @ Prasanth. ..you motivated me.. i too have filled forms of couple of schools today....Thanks
  • Shivshankari Sethu

    I dont understand how applying to 30 school is harming anyone.

    I agree on distance thing, its wrong on parents part to make 3-4 year old travel 15 kms daily. But not every one is fortunate enough to live in localities like dwarka which has 25-30 good /decent schools in 8 kms radius.

    I ve applied in  25 schools for my 31/2 year old daughter, all schools in <6 kms radius.

    I know parents from last few years who didn't get any school after applying in 15-20 schools. I realize even with 25 schools, there is a chance that I won't get shortlisted in any school. If that happens I will continue her in play school, n try for kg admissions next year.

    As parents we just want to do our best.

  • Nitin Nandrajog

    This is the reason "herd mentality" is making nursery admissions difficult with every passing year. If we assume that there are 3000 parents in Dwarka/ near Dwarka areas (within 8 KM) and everyone applies to 30 known common schools in the 8KM radius to increase their chance, we will end up with a probability of 0.01 (30/3000) for each kid for every seat. By contrast if it is restricted that everyone can apply to a maximum of 15 schools in a 3-5 KM radius, there will be less than 300 parents (density of Dwarka is 19000/Km2) with each kid having a probability of 0.05 (15/300) for every seat. Just for information, last year there was 8KM criteria and the number of applications in some well known Schools were: DPS = 4700, St. Francis = 3800, Bal Bharati = 4,200. @Heidi, we cannot have a solution if only a handful of parents follow the approach of applying less, this can only be implemented if the guidelines makes it compulsory for everyone to prioritize and apply rather than "spreading too thin" across the board

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    dont you think if people apply to less schools, all of them would probably apply to same 10 schools? which are considered top.

  • heidi

    I think Shivshakari is right... If everyone applies in only Top 5 or 10 schools, it would lead to no fallback option and parents would end up paying donations to get an admission in any school to save the year.
  • Meenakshi Katyal

    While going through the category list, i am unsure about VIS 10 and SVIS 18 in category A.

    I would be happy to have reviews of these schools to be in top 5. Over the years, i have not heard very good comments on these schools. Internet is also full of negative reviews of VIS 10. The school was one of the best schools in dwarka 10 years back but with many more international schools in dwarka thereafter, it is no more the same. But yes, its name stills works as people were not aware of other schools. I am not sure if this old is still gold.

    Pls help as i am also about to finalize my list today.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @Ranjan

    It is not getting particular/fastidious when you know things are not in your hand.

    Also, everyone will/should have their choices based on their perception/budget/requirements/other considered factors.

    I think we all are here helping each other sharing our views/experiences with other parents.

    I just wanted to know the basis of criteria to put VIS 10/ SVIS 18 in Category A.

    Also, if you are ranking DPS, Mount Carmel and Bal bharati in top 3 and you are lucky enough to get in 2, Even then also you will decide one only based on your criteria.

    So what is the harm in knowing about each school?

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @Ranjan

    for example, in some ratings Nirmal Bhartia was coming at 2. Also, we never heard negative about it till one parent Gaurav shared his views about the school.

    Same is the case with Mt.Carmel. It may be in top 3 but atleast it was not known to me till one parent Heidi visited there and shared that they even don't have their own playground.

  • Vijendra Singh

    While applying for SFS Janakpuri it is not giving option to select sectors in Dwarka only option available is Dwarka Sec-1,6 & 7. I am living in other sector so how can I apply ?

  • Brijesh Rajput

    Please provide me feedback on Basava International and fee structure.

  • Priya

    Meenakshi, what did Gaurav say about NBS? I have heard that's the best in Dwarka. Though I have yet to apply there.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Priya

    It is not best

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    my friends here may would like to see this

    http://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/nursery-scam-venkates...

    Relatively old but an eye opener

  • Ravi Joshi

    Indeed an eye opener , but i am not shocked. This is how all of them operate.

    We have to choose least corrupt one :)

    Wonder why most of the schools ask to submit cell phones... so that we don't do any sting on them when they propose their offers (blackmailing) ?/

  • Rahul Seth

    Is there any other school left for which last date is not today?

  • Rakesh Singh Thakuri

    @ Rahul ji,

    BBPS Dwarka, Vishwa Bharti Dwarka.

  • Priya

    Ya Rahul, NBS is there and then Convent Schools shall be there too.

  • Priya

    Thanks for sharing the important links Mennakshi.
    It would help if you share which is the better school too to get admitted then who does admission without any donation.....
    Honestly, now it seems its risky to put your kid anywhere :(

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Priya. Without donation i came across suchdeva global, Jm international, MT carmel These 3 schools. Rest others can share.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Priya

    I was specifically looking for reviews of VIS. Requested the same here also but did not get any review.

    And finally landed to this link within this website itself.

    @Ravi Joshi - You might be right.

    Also,just read one parent getting call from Indraprastha for admission.

    http://www.admissionsnursery.com/group/dwarkaparentsgroupnurseryadm...

    I am rather surprised to know this when the school has declared their dates for first and subsequent list.

    Receiving a call from a school with no dates mentioned should be ok.

    Latha/Sakshi -- Can we expect fair draws??

  • Priya

    OMG! Schools started calling? I only received from Maxfort, met them too and then decided no point approaching them..... :(

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Priya. I think you must go & meet them, as to know what they are offering & post the detail the ask for helping other parents.
